I came on with the intention of starting a similar post, so very pleased to have stumbled on yours.
I've been single now for about a year, and the weekends when the kids are at their dads are killing me. I do have a good friend and hang out with my sisiter who I get on well with, but they both have husbands and weekends are family time.
I thought about doing a course, but theres not much happening at weekends, and I can go from Friday teatime to Monday morning without speaking a word to anyone, it's awful and really getting me down.

Talk to us. I know it's not face to face. But you could sign up for MSN Messenger and chat there with us too. If your adventurous you could buy a Headset with a boom mike and talk over messenger. Me and the OH did it smileysex.gif last night......lolsmilie.gif spoke to each other over messenger. Was pretty cool....How sad are we.

    Nice to have you aboard.catsplay.gif

  • Hello all again,

Have been neglecting this thread terribly for the past couple of weeks, has taken me AGES to catch up!

First of all welcome to the newbies - Mum 2002, rose and julieboo. This is a v friendly thread, as you have probably noticed...:j

I've been feeling a bit down about getting so many rejection letters etc for jobs - you know how it is, you can feel that you are being pathetic, but it is oddly comforting and you refuse to lift yourself out of it. Anyway, I'm feeling better now after reading all your posts - I will never get myself together If I can't appreciate the support I get fom you guys. You have all really helped me!

I have tried to make cabbage soup and it looks horrible. Bleeurghh.. What did I do wrong? I just put cabbage, onion, stock and seasoning in ..

Love to all of you - mcCL, I must make it through to the festival one of these days .. my mum is coming to visit soon, so I will take her. She is the ultimate MSE'r!!
