    I'd use it in:

    cheese sauce
    soup
    rice pudding

Frozen sauce can lose its texture when it thaws, but vigorous stirring sorts that out.

what about a rice pudding, i know that freezes. i do mine in the slow cooker 65g of pudding rice, 1pt milk and some nutmeg

cheese sauce freezes ok when i make a macaroni cheese so i dont see why it shouldnt freeze on its own
It only seems kinky the first time.. :A

    Hi kimmywim,

We have an older thread on this using up milk that should help you, so I'll merge your thread with it as it helps to keep all the suggestions together.

    Scandinavian style rice porridge?

1.2 l milk (whole or semi skimmed)
    225g pudding rice
    1/4 tsp salt

Bring to the boil while stirring, and simmer while stirring until most of the liquid has been absorbed. Serve hot with knob of butter in the middle, sugar and cinnamon sprinkled all over. This can easily be frozen when cooled, and makes the base for the Scandinavian style christmas dessert that I just call rice cream (think it's actually called rice a la mange or something like that). PM me if you want the recipe.

Phew, that is really scary - I clicked on User CP and found that apparently I'd contributed to this new thread that I read earlier today but couldn't offer any advice on at the time.

This merging is giving me delusions of posting where I ain't posted :rotfl: .
    :D I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe :D

As for rice pudding... I've found that it tastes ok but tends to go grainy when defrosted and isn't very good.

    BUT...

    ..there is an answer...

    ..honest :)

You'll have to do this with one portion at a time put put each portion into a liquidiser, add a splash more milk and then whizz it thoroughly. You get instant ground rice pudding.

    Yummy :)
