I should not have watched that, I'm quite disappointed now. No-one looks excited, they all look quite bored!
There are people on this thread who have been and have said how good it is.
It would be a shame for people to be put off even considering an experience because of Mrcow. I always find it is much more valuable to consider the opinion of people who have actually experienced something rather than someone who just loves having a opinion on everything!0 -
well said rosatoso, it's a fabulous experience for everyone. I enjoyed it as much as my 5 years old and believe me no-one was 'bored'. From start to finish it was magical and I actually shed a tear watching an 'elf' walk my little boy through the twinkling forest to Santas little log cabin. LOVED it!0

I think a few posters on here have very close links to the site.Illegitimi non carborundum.0

Radio Four had the place on "You and Yours" the other day. I think it was some people from Netmums who went to review it.

I haven't got any links to the site, and I haven't even been myself. Just fed up of old school MSE's spouting nothing but negative comments every time I come on here based on opinion & not experience!0 -
Have a look at this guy's video from last year (bear in mind, these are his edited highlights):

I guess we can all concede that Bewl Water is never going to compete with -25 degrees in Finland on Chirstmas Eve, but saying it's automatically a step up from many of the free Christmas experiences on offer if you do your homework as some on here have done on this thread is a bit steep.
Cleopatra - if you do go - have a good time and come back and post your experiences on here - I'm sure we'd like to hearMake sure you get the 2 for 1 though!
I would be going this year, I doubt my 6 week old would know what was going on :rotfl:already getting excited about all the things I can take her to.
Those boys looked far too old for all that :rotfl:Best Comp wins[/B]: , Holiday to Las Vegas worth £3K, £200 shoes, £130 ASOS voucher, £150 River Island Voucher, £100 Toni & Guy Voucher, £250 Red Letter Day Voucher, Holiday to NYC[/COLOR]0 -
Just a quick update on our experience (don't worry, I won't do a review as I know this isn't the place!).
Would I pay £87.50 a ticket? Absolutely not. I wouldn't pay the earlybird £67.50 a ticket either. But for what we paid (£34.75 a head) we had an amazing time and would definitely go again. We were there for a total of six hours, and enjoyed all the activities, including the two-course meal and the ice-skating. It really was worth every penny & my children (aged 5 & 8) were amazed from start to finish.
There was nothing tacky or nasty about it at all. Everything is lovely and very well done, and from the moment you enter everyone stays in character - even when we ended up in First Aid! Father Christmas was one of the best I've seen.
We will certainly be keeping our eyes open for this offer next year.
(The one thing I will add is that I would be reluctant to go too near to Christmas. Our group contained just 12 children and so everything was very personal; there appeared to be spaces for around 40 children though and I don't think it would be anywhere near as good with that many).0 -
Glad you had a nice time.
Weather's been rubbish down here too (especially over the weekend) - so I'm glad it didn't spoil it."One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0
