Before this thread gets locked, Let me just say Silk, You picked through my posts slightly unfairly and used them out of context to a degree also,
The quote below is not the complete paragraph

That is correct Mr Rincewind and I was one of those who was interested to learn that mobiles.co.uk only became this bad after it was taken over by CPW !
This is what i actualy said:
Perhaps there are people who care about which Chris owned the company at one time or another, But this is not why this thread was started,
There are other examples, But i`m not going to start picking through them.
The thread was labelled a cautionary tale, But the OP also seemed to be asking for help, Which gets diluted with people going off topic to a degree, and always ends up locked.
I actually named you as one of the few people that offer solid advice before they attack Mobs.co.uk, But as usual we few who normaly end up on these threads end up attacking each other and assisting no one0 -

Welcome to the club mate.“Official Company Representative
I am the official company representative of Mobiles.co.uk. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. If you believe I am please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com This does NOT imply any form of approval of my company or its products by MSE"0 -
I always go direct to the network to get mine now.
I have had so many problems with 3rd party people that it is just more hassle than it is worth.
They care less for customer service than the networks themselves and care more for the money they will get paid for setting you up.
One 3rd party i went to signed me up for a deal and when i got my first bill they had added all sorts of things on. I even had a call asking when i wanted to get the broadband sorted!.
The good thing about getting it from the networks website is you will get a better deal and you can send it back if you want and you don't have a sales rep trying to flog you things you don't want or need.0 -

Just because a thread was started without the intention of learning who previously owned mobiles.co.uk I and others found it interesting to learn that they have not always been as bad as they are now and that Chris was not responsible for their demise.
wheres the harm of that snippet being added to tales of woe regarding the company ?????????
However all comments and experiances should be taken into account for people to decide how to consider a matter so they can see the whole picture rather than tunnel vision regarding just one aspect.
As it happens now that mobiles.co.uk have decided to settle out of court the thread seems to have done it's job
I thank you for that Mr Rincewind and I agree that it's a shame to end up attacking each other with people taking sides.
I for one do mnot bear any grudges and welcom your commmentsIt's not just about the money0 -
contained more fiction than Dan Brown's noggin and more opinion dressed as fact than The Sun the week before an election.
I think as everyone will agree I only post facts
And you are still ignoring the question on this thread regarding your claim to WW's mistake....please defie "your mistake" please BenOriginally Posted by Mobiles.co.uk company representative
A thread where someone asks for help and I subsequently contact them will be closed as soon as it starts devolving into the same old accusations and opinions, it seems. To paraphrase Monty Python, this is neither the Arguments or Insults department
Threads regarding complaints against mobiles.co.uk are like buses " there will always be another along in a minute"
I'm pleased for WW that mobiles.co.uk have realised the errors they made and have settled out of court on the matter.
Perhaps this result will give others hope that they can do the sameIt's not just about the money0 -
Thanks Silk, i appreciate it,
I`m sure we will meet on another thread0
