sorry MJ. i truly owe you an apology: after 'we might be able to move on' i forgot to add

Usual sort of reply then Thommy :T
Have you ever thought of making some sort of contribution as to why theres loads of threads with problems revolving round mobiles.co.uk or do you just intend to use the smiles button ?????It's not just about the money0 -

actually, it's the 'rolling on the floor laughing' button
i've tried making a contribution, having a discussion. if you don't agree with the holy gospel according to mj, you don't get anywhere.
you think i should just let him patronise, condescend, belittle myself and others for having a different take on things - content or manner?
i don't defend mobiles - i can see the bad things that are going on but that doesn't mean i have to jump on your collectively blinkered, obsessed, vindictive band-wagon.0 -
by the way silk
you don't seem to be shy and retiring when using emoticons.....0 -

Yes I do use the odd smiley button but I don't fill the page with them without making some sort of contribution.
Why do you think it is that there are so many negative threads regarding mobiles.co.uk and why do so many people have problems with Ben ????
You cannot argue with facts and I'm sure as you will se from most of my posts I only deal with facts ...I don't try to come on with theories or scenario's as to what might happen .....I only post about actual events that have happened and how they have been handled of which there is no denying.
Try reading the posts and understand why people are so upset, annoyed and dissapointed with the company !!!!
Whether you like it or not MJ like me has had a lot of bad experiance with the company and can relate and express his observations quite well to a lot of people and yet for some reason he gets stick about it.
You will notice theres new threads every week of people with problems after problems ....does that not give you some idea that somethings not quite right and perhaps something needs to be done about it ????
Perhaps if you took a step back and looked at it from a customers perspective you might see things in a different lightIt's not just about the money0 -
I think you will find that MJ is just telling how it is I'm afraid.

now you are taking a leaf out of the patronising book. i'm quite capable of reading the threads, thanks and have done. i've had bad experiences myself, with several companies. i know what it is like.
um, this is oh so frustrating. you, like MJ seem to be oblivious to what people actually write in response to you. do i need to shout it. i am not defending mobiles for the bad service and erratic response.
my beef, as with a growing number of people (ask Edinburghlass), is the usurping of more and more threads-especially positive ones-to pursue the same unrelated battles and gripes. can you not recognise how people are practically being bullied by MJ when, for example, they want to share something good. it's like the mere mention of the word mobiles is the red rag to the bull - see guysdad's post 51- mobiles.co.uk excellent cashback team. it's not just mobiles. i remember him giving someone his contrasting definition of vodafone customer service, negating that of the op in the process, because the op had posted up a successful outcome in dealing with vodafone.
you lot are actually coming across as not really wanting someone else to have had a positive experience because it rubs in your bad experiences all the more. the subtext to a lot of your posts is bitterness. harsh that may sound but for crying out loud, sort out these problems with the company directly, or get your own website dedicated to the cause. you're actually taking the pi** out Of MSE with the way you use its platform as a front.
i don't need your permission, or explain to you my use of an emoticon. however, i think most people would acknowledge that where i have 'filled a page' (which, let's admit, is not true) it is a blatant expresson of, um, frustration, irony? get it? :wall:0 -
Thommy, just put them on ignore, life is much quieter.
I only with the rep would do the same, replying just makes them do it more. I treated my toddler the same, ignore their silly behaviour and they soon stop once they realise their audience has stopped watching. Its just a shame adults (I assume they're adults) have to be treated like toddlers but far too many threads are being derailed and genuine problems are being drowned in twaddle.Work like you don't need money,Love like you've never been hurt,And dance like no one's watchingSave the cheerleader, save the world!0 -

Your analogy made me chuckle. Remarkably accurate. .0 -

However in this case I'm sure you will realise we are talking about a specific company and whilst I'm sure theres a lot of companies who you might have had experiance with is there any of them that constantly have thread after thread of complaints that this one does ???Originally Posted by thommy

And I've got no experiance with vodaphone so I never post on the subject !!!
You will also notice on that thread that Ben has chosen not to clarify the situation ...why do you think that is ????
It only stands to reason that the law of averages dictate that there are those customers who exist where nothings gone wrong and are quite happy and thats a blessing and a relief. But it seems that when things go wrong the CS dept is virtualy non existant which people have to be made aware of.
I appreciate that you and others get frustrated but the main reason for that is that the threads keep coming up week after week after week.
One of the main reasons that we fell into the trap was that we were unaware of just how bad they were and if we had had that knowledge beforehand and known how to deal with it and probably not even taken the risk in the first place.
You will notice Thommy if you check that I've never started a thread regarding mobiles.co.uk and only ever contributed to them.

Maybe so Thommy,
However in this case I'm sure you will realise we are talking about a specific company and whilst I'm sure theres a lot of companies who you might have had experiance with is there any of them that constantly have thread after thread of complaints that this one does ???
I've never said you were defending them however mocking those who post the facts about them and relate experiances from them is not going to solve anything is it ???
Yes and See Post 1 on the same thread ...I was the first person to thank ilovemydebts for the post
And I've got no experiance with vodaphone so I never post on the subject !!!
You will also notice on that thread that Ben has chosen not to clarify the situation ...why do you think that is ????
Completely wrong I'm afraid Thommy ....what I want is for the same problems that happen time after time to stop you've seen yourself that the same problems keep cropping up.

I've never said you needed my permission Thommy .....what I was saying was that those sort of posts doesn't get us anywhere.

silk - to start with the dismissive 'maybe so thommy ' sums up the problem, in a very neat nutshell.
the same patronising rhetoric ,(supported with, repetitive, quite clearly specifically chosen emoticons) as Mj's, then flows forth in one almighty gush...
you will negate whatever i say, if it is not in agreement with your crusade.
that is why it is getting harder and harder to contribute to these threads. as Edinburghlass has acknowledged, people are pm-ing to complain, more and more. not to mention the newbies that come and go -bullied off for daring to want to enter into a balanced debate or merely to inform of good news....0
