I used Hatton Garden Metals yesterday and sent my scrap gold off to them. Today I received my money straight into my bank account!
Easy to use and higher payout than the people who quoted me in town. Had to pay for special delivery though, but the cost of that is certainly outweighed by their payout.

I used Hatton Garden Metals too, and received £48.00 for 4g of broken 9ct gold the very next day by bank transfer. Received exactly what they quoted on their website.

After reading the mainly positive reviews here I took the plunge and sent off a few trinkets yesterday - email just before lunchtime today confirming very nearly the weight my scales arrived at, and that the money was already paid into the bank - £1600 to the good! Only downside is that I have to split it 4 ways!

Very very impressed with this fast, efficient and honest service! I was worried about selling my gold as i had very little knowledge of it's worth. I weighed my bits and bobs and put the details into the calculator and was a little shocked to get a quote of £780!!! Fairly disbelieving i decided to take the chance and sent it special delivery for £5.60 i think, yesterday which was the 13/6/12. I tracked it online today 14/06/12 and was very excited when it said payment qeued as i guessed this meant the payment must be similar to what i was quoted as i had not recieved an email, although i was still a little unsure that i would recieve this kind of amount. shortly after i recieved an email saying the payment had been sent and detailing the amount which was £762.58!!! this was in my account by 2.30ish pm! This company deserves huge praise, there are so many cons out there, it's sooo refreshing to find there are still honest companies out there!!!:T:j

I weighed my gold and silver on my kitchen scales, which are only accurate to 2g unfortunately, but with a bit of guess-timating and Googling hallmarks, I managed to work out roughly what I thought I would get, and I was very close to what I actually received! I posted my items Royal Mail Special Delivery by 1pm, which actually got there by 9am, and I received an email from Hatton by mid morning, breaking down the weights I sent in by category and how much I would be paid, and the funds were in my PayPal account when I checked a little while later. Totally hassle free and very happy with the price paid, I would definitely recommend Hatton Garden Metals.

After much deliberation of watching all the tv adverts and knowing that I had some gold and silver which I could sell especially in desperate times, I looked on MSE and found Hatton Garden Metals. I was soon weighing my silver and my gold which I posted on the Thursday costing no more than £7.00 as it was very little. I calculated what I thought would be owed to me which was approx £400 but come the Friday the price had gone down :sad: so guessed I would get less. Friday afternoon came and I logged on to HGM website to see what had happened with the goods. I was unbelieveably surprised. Not only had I got an extra £150 but they were most honest in the fact that I had some 18ct gold as well as 9ct gold. I was jumping for joy!!! All I wanted to do was run to the bank just to double check it was in there (so cynical) and ta da IT WAS!!! I would most definately recommend this company to any and everybody as they are efficient and honest. Thank you for saving the day HGM.

Very pleased with their service - after taking my gold around local buyers, and not being very impressed with prices, I did some on line research on money savings expert, and went to Hatton Garden Metals web site, the amount i was quoted was over £200 more than than the lowest price i was offered locally. I was a little wary at sending the gold off, but by reading all the positive feedback i decided to do it. Sent my gold off yesterday (monday), by special delivery, had an email this morning confirming receipt and price, went to by online bank account and yep the moey was there! Would def recommend to anyone!

Absolutely brilliant service! This site shows all the scummy gold websites how it should be done.

Took my gold to the local jewellers and got offered £270. After putting the weight in the HGM website, I was offered £420. Read some reviews about the site on here and a few other places, which all come up good. Sent the gold yesterday afternoon. By 11am this morning I had £420 in my bank account!

For those of you that are dubious about there being so many first time posters praising them in this thread, there is a link in your payment confirmation email to this thread, and given how quick and efficient the service is, I'm not surprised so many write reviews (I never usually write reviews for anything myself)
