HATTON GARDEN METALS Feedback Thread

  • I've posted off my 2nd parcel to them this afternoon. The first parcel I did about a month ago & a couple of my items tested differently to what I thought they were and they emailed to ask if I would like the items sent back or would I like to sell at a different price. Very honest company and will use them again as I have done today! I'm obviously not a first time poster but like the person above says, they send a link this thread in their emails and I'm not suprised people leave their feedback, I always do when I have had good service. So don't be afraid to give it a go.

  • Need to sell my gold to raise cash - choose this company as had great feedback. Posted my items at 16-30 on Wednesday, I thought all my gold was 9ct , when in fact some 14ct. They sent me an e-mail explaining the amount of gold etc. I agreed with the price they quoted (a lot higher than other places) and the money was sat in my bank-account by 11-30 the following day.

I dont usually bother to write reviews but when we need to raise cash its good to know where you can go without being 'ripped' off.
  • I was VERY cautious about using Hatton Garden Metals after seeing them via the main site as I have previously been burned by a different company going bust to which my only other post on this forum relates to, anyway...

I sent my gold off on Monday, they emailed to advise a difference in their weight compared to mine (only 4g) which I accepted due to the fact they must use fine jewellers scales as opposed to my kitchen scales and I received the cash on Wednesday

All in all I am very happy with this company and therefore thought that I would share my feedback as I would recommend these & I would definitely use them again!
  • Hatton Garden Metals politely requested that I provided feedback via this thread and I am very happy to do so.

I sold a pair of 18 carat gold earrings. I was offered £120 and £160 by two local jewellers, Hatton Garden Metals paid £206.20 and my only expense was £5.90 for the special delivery postage.

I posted the earrings lunch time Thursday and the money was in our bank account by 12 noon Friday, so an extremely efficient transaction.

In true MSE tradition, I paid the proceeds towards one of our debts :)

I sent my gold on the Friday and i recieved the money in my bank in the Monday. (They are not open Saturday). I recieved an email once they had processed it, you can also keep track on their website.

I had stones in my jewelry and weighed it with them in, the price i got was lower than quoted but i knew this was going to happen due to the stones. This was also explained in the email.

    For 5.7g i got £66.

Great service and price compared to high street.

I posted 3 small 9ct gold rings with damaged/missing gemstones yesterday at midday and have received my payment of just over £95 already. Initially, I was a bit wary but I needn't have worried. I am very pleased and impressed with the prompt professional service I received. I would highly recommend them.

I am so impressed with this company, I sent a few broken items yesterday that I was offered £42 for by another company and got £74.09 in my bank today.

I will definitely recommend to everyone!
  • I was offered £200 by my local jewellers. Checked my account today with Hatton Garden Metals - £246.

    Fantastic service - well done.
  • This is a superb service. Used it yesterday, sold a 9 ct gold bangle weight 5.3gms. Promised me 11.75 per gram, paid 11.81 per gram due to increase in gold price overnight. Money was in account when I got up in this morning so very efficient service.

Service easy to use, clear no nonsense website. Will use it again today.
  • Upon seeing what this site had to say about Hatton Garden metals I used the service for the first time yesterday - sent my items by special delivery and lo and behold they received my scrap gold and silver today and credited my account with funds this afternoon. The price they gave was spot on, service impeccable to say I am "IMPRESSED" is an understatment.
The bulk of what I sent was pure scrap silver old broken bracelets/earings/chains etc. so to get money in exchange for what would be sitting in my jewellery box collecting dust is a real bonus. I sent in a battered 14c gold chain at 11g and scrap silver that amounted roughly to just over 200g and got £273.61 :j
