I am delighted with the service I have received from Hatton Garden Metals. I have used them as of this week begining Feb 2010. The website is easy to navigate and clearly informative for both selling and buying. The Gold qoute for the day is an excellent tool, it provides an upfront and honest qoute for what you will get paid per gram according to carat weight, WYSIWYG it couldn't be better than that and I would reccomend them to anyone for a fast, efficient service with the best prices I have ever been paid. Thank you very much for a great service, much appreciated. :j :T

:TExcellent, first class, fair & professional service! I got nearly 5 times as much (£320) from HGM than offered by an online postal gold company (£70) who tried to rip me off. The service offered by the online postal gold company was atrocious - avoid at all costs...

These are brilliant! Last week I trawled round a few places locally in the North East and everywhere was offering the same - five quid per gram.
The feedback on here prompted me to use this company. I posted the gold off yesterday to them, had a call from them with a query (one 14carat chain turned out only to be 9 carat) at noon and at 1pm I had an email confirming payment as below

9ct: 32.10 g @ £8.00 = £256.80


Total = £256.80


100% recommend this company - for the price per gram they pay and for their outstanding service.

I sent of approx. 32g of gold (old broken earrings and chains that I haven't worn for 20+ years) and 35g of silver yesterday afternoon by special delivery (by 1pm), and the money was in my bank account by midday today. Excellent prices and service, highly recommend. £272!! :j

I sent just over 26g of 9ct gold to Hatton Garden Metals recently and recieved over £200. The money was in my bank account two days after sending. Excellent service.

I had some old gold and silver jewellery I wanted to sell. I researched on here about the different companies that are out there and chose to use hatton garden metals. I had only read good things about them so decided to take the plunge. I went onto their website and calculated that I had about £860 worth of unwanted stuff. I filled the form out, printed it off and posted my bundle yesterday at about 2pm. I received an email at 12.30 today comfirming the weights and prices of the items I'd sent. It also said that £912.25 was being paid into my bank account! I logged into my bank and there it was, all £912.25! I couldn't believe it!!! The whole transaction was done in less than 24 hours, there were no quibbles with what i'd sent or the weights i'd put and I ended up £50 better off than I had estimated as well. I would definatley use them again, in fact my sister is sorting through her jewellery now as is my best friend.
These are weights and prices I got:
9ct - 48g - £382.08 (£7.96 per g)
14ct - 23g - £284.97 (£12.39 per g)
18ct - 5g - £79.60 (£15.92 per g)

I sent 15g of 9ct gold to CashMyGold and kicked myself for not checking them out on here first. They sent a cheque for £20.74 Phoned them but that was their only and final offer. I reluctantly returned their cheque thinking I might never see the cash or stash again.

I asked at Hinds jewellers and they said they were offering £5 per gram or £8.50 in shop vouchers.

Amazingly did get stash back from CashMyGold and opted for Hatton Garden Metals... a few days later, lovely cheque for £120 :j

If you want more jewellary, Hinds might be a good option but I was thrilled with cheque for our baby fund.... :Tdue in a couple of months.

i was very very weary of doing this and reasearched different websites all week , i decided to go with hatton in the end .
i posted off my 80g of gold yesterday (thursday) lunchtime and the money has just gone into my bank today (friday) lunchtime .
what a fantastic service i will definatley be recomending to friends and family and would use them again.

Just wanted to add my positive feedback to the others for Hatton Garden Metals and to MSE, as I searched the forum and as usual got good advice about which companies are best to deal with, MSE advice has saved me so much money. My experience with Hatton Garden Metals was similar to everyone on here - Good price and quick payment with no problems.

MSE forums are brilliant for showing up which are the best services, its a shame they dont have a thread for local builders, plumbers and electricians, I am a single mum and find myself on the wrong end of these companies that take as much money and provide as little service as possible, it would be great to be able to find out via MSE forum, you can always rely on everyone on here to give you the truth.
