I hope you both enjoyed his birthday. If you are sending a letter rather than going in person on the 8th (hope I have read this right) don't forget about the Christmas post when things will be delayed. Better to send anything special next day delivery. Costs a bit more but you can also trace the letter.0

Hi Mouche,
Just wanted to wish you all the best of luck, have been lurking but never posted - just wanted to say I don't think 32 is too old to be a first time mum - no-one in my family has been any younger. Really hope you and hubby get sorted, you sound like great people. All the best!0 -
Hi Mouche,
I am also one of the immigrants here, albeit I am from EU so we dont have such visa problems. I know a good immigration lawyer. If you want I can give his phone number and web address, so you could ask him for an advice (pjone advices are free) and maybe he can do smthg for you.0 -
Hi all...finally a proper update! But before that, thank you to all of you for your reassurances and advice.
Ok well, the certificate of sponsorship has finally come through as of two hours ago. We have a good immigration expert (thank you amalis for the offer - I might take you up on that in the future) so we're sending off the papers to him tomorrow by Special Delivery (thank you for that idea katebl). Hopefully he will be able to check and send them off to the Home Office by the end of this week and fingers crossed hubby can start work in early January.
I'll truly be relieved once we get the acknowledgment of our application from the Home Office. That will mean even if we are asked to leave we don't have to. So we can have a relaxed Christmas.
It is so frustrating when all you can do is wait (I'm a control freak at the best of times!) so I'm happy things are finally moving. Thank you to everyone so much for your support. I will keep you updated as things progress.Mortgage (original/ current):193,000 (23/09/11)/ £102,500 (07/11/2019)

Nothing really to add - just didn't want to read and run. Glad there is some progress Mouche. Stay positive and best of luck.0
