  • Excellent work ladies and gents, I'm so proud of us all.

I ordered my car yesterday. The excitement has worn off today leaving me with an overwhelming feeling of sickness about having a five year loan to pay off, lol. I intend with the help of you brilliant people to have it cleared within three though and I also refuse to let it interfere with my house deposit plans. Will just have to ebay everything that isn't nailed down (the 'rents had better watch out, but I'm not sure how much I'd get for them, hehehe).

Anyway, onwards into February! Good luck all xxx

my mum, bless her, gave me a cheque for £156 yesterday to pay off my overdraft, now all i have to do is save, save, save, save save, to pay off my loan.

i'm starting to notice more things lying around the flat that can be sold that i never thought of before!... going to do some digging for bootfairs and ebaying/amazoning to make up the £1,000 shortfall i'm prediciting if im going to be Debt Free by Sept 2010 so I can go back to college! wish me luck..........
I have learnt from my in-debt days....never again!

Well done everyone! I now have over £700 in the savings account and hubby has another interview lined up. Keeping my fingers crossed he gets a job so I can clear that off the debts! I've also got over 50 items listed on ebay so with a bit of luck I'll start to get my numbers down.

    We rock!

Direct loan came out today £272 and I did a minijig because it means we only have 3 payments left - and I realised when I updated totals that last month I only took £71 off the total, so my actual for January was £2200. I'm now in the £15K bracket rather than the nearly £20k:j.

Chrisjc will hopefully turn up sometime.

To be honest, I log on here everyday, so not hard to keep track. That is why i mark everypost thanks, if i don't mark it, I know an update is required. The spreadsheet does the rest.

Only one very minor grumble is trawling throught the first 35 pages of posts to check the sigs of the infrequent posters who are doing the challenge. When I went through some on Friday, I wa really surprized that some people who have only made one post on this thread are updating their sigs with thier totals. Fair play to them for doing it!

    Some facts about month one:

    Total Paid: £58,006.78
    People updated: 73
    Average each: £783.88
    Target total: £740,000.00
    Overall % acheived: 7.8%
    Monthly target %: £61,666.67
    Monthly target achieved: 94.1%
