Hi all
Sorry I haven't been on I've just been so busy it's taken over!
My total which is a bit late is £1053.07!!!! wahoo!!!!! I've got a bit more to add but it's not in my savings yet so I won't count it til it's in. That incues my direct debits but I've deducted the interest so its so nice to know its what's actually gone!!
Hope eveyone's good

sorry guys for not posting sooner, but things have been a tad hectic
it looks like im gonna have to drop out of this challenge, as im desparate need of a new bathroom, (the loo is coming away, the taps have started to leak, the sink has sunk and got a biiiiiig chip in it and the tiles are starting to come away from the walls), and all this this week, when the car wont start, and ive just noticed that the kitchen ceiling looks like it could come down, (leak from bathroom):eek::eek::(:(:(
so im going to bow out , and just pay min payment and use the money i put in the pot to get this sorted
but i will still come here, think of me as your virtual cheerleader:j:j
If we can put a man on the moon...how come we cant put them all there?

Shame about the bathroom webitha, hope you get it sorted... I lived in a bedsit once where we had a leak over the cooker... If you were making dinner and someone decided to have a showere things could get very messy!!! lol
I'm sooo happy it's Feb and the oh so long slog of Jan is over. Last month I had to take money out of my CC just to survive and I lost most of the progress I'd made on my ODThis month I'm hoping that everything heads in the right direction although I have already blown all my spending money on going to the cinema twice (ooops!) Oh well, I was given some money by my mom and my sister last week so I shouldn't need to take any money out for shopping etc. this month which will help (I usually take out £100)... Does anyone else spend their time looking forward to the end of the month so that they can update their stats

Please can someone tell me how you are calculating the interest etc on your totals?:D
I have obviously made some payments in Jan, however when my next statements are due, there will have been interest added on. Do I need to take this off my 10k totals, or can I just leave it so that my 10k total will not match the reduction in overall debt?
Also has anyone had any problems with trying to open a Santander card for the 0%? I applied on-line on Jan 12th and have not heard anything at all! I really need to move some of my debt to a 0% card as my current cards have now run out.LBM January 2010 Debt £22,239.51 Mortgage £120,99910K in 2010 = £1520.48 15.2% LOAN = £11,819.92 / £1055.35CC1 = £940.57 / £67.06 CC2 = £2994.71 / £156.43CC3 = £3494.00 / £239.93 CC4= £2678.00 / £159.00 Mortgage = £120,999.00 / £0.00 [STRIKE]O/D = £126.81[/STRIKE]Total = £143,238.51:eek: / £1520.48 :j= £141,805.35 1.06%0 -
The £100 I had to pay towards a debt has now gone on daughters birthday presents, although I haven't paid off anymore, I haven't used credit cards either. Before I would have just bought presents on card but now I am paying for them with real money which makes me feel great. Will have £150 to pay on barclaycard on Friday so that will make a good dent.0

I normally don't include interest in my figures, on the bills they always state the estimated interested for the next month, so I always deduct this, if they don't then I adjust figures when the bill comes in. Does that make sense.0

Oh no Kipkip that is pretty nerve wracking, do you think you can find something else if the worst happens?
Webitha, sorry to hear you can't carry on with the challenge but at least you can get a shiny new bathroom. We got a new bathroom and a new kitchen last year and they are lafferly, shame we didn't save for them first.
And interest - I have counted the interest that we will pay over the 4 loans in the total debt, and only accounting what I have taken off the debt not including interest for the updates. So I am counting not what I am paying, but how much I am reducing the debt byDebt £26k 18/10/140
