 That is a massive drop in value % wise:eek:
I know!
I actually purchased it for £60K in 2004 and in a silly moment borrowed again and increased the mortage in about 2007 (when the flat was valued at about £85k). We've had a valuation for £55k, one for £67k and one for £70k. With costs etc and NO savings we'd end up with nothing even if we got top end valuation.Wandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! Debts cleared nearly £18k. Now to start saving ...0 -
WELL! Because I am a bit sad :rotfl: I have updated my total a day early. Payday tomorrow, less than I should get due to a tax overpayment humph but got wageslip today. Not massively impressed with myself as it's half of what I could save/make but MS has been slow this month and I have 2 weekends away next month so have put away for that. Still, :j for saving and will do better next month. Would like to get to £2150 at least by the end of Feb.
Added £150 to my total (will actually transfer it tomorrow but still counts for Jan) which means:
Claire123c's total savings for Jan = £238.
Total for challenge = £1738/7000.
:j to all who are doing well, and :grouphug: to those who like me did not hit their totals this month!
Is anyone else wishing the months away to update their totals?? I don't want to though!0 -

I know what you mean :A- in fact it makes me really annoyed we didn't do this yonks ago. It makes me wonder how we are even in debt!
My sig is updated with the couple of little credit card payments (only £35 but it all counts)
I know exactly what you mean about getting into debt. I can't believe how rich I would be if I didn't have these debts to pay off!!
This whole process has completely changed my attitude to money, credit and savings. Once these debts have gone I am going to allow myself to have ANYTHING I want - as long as I save for it first!!!!!

Just updated my sig. I'm a bit fed up that both my credit cards have gone up due to vet bills and the long lag in January between paydays. BTW I lots little Jackjack on Wednesday. I'm so upset, most of my rats are rescues but I'd had Jackjack since he was a baby... It's very strange not so see him at the bars when I come into the room0

My total for january is £495.66, i might have another £100 to add to that, but i am just deciding what debt to take it off.
I am on a big downer at the moment, as i was meant to have paid off another £200 last week, however this went on my sons nursery fees which i had thought had already been paid, arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Its really made me miserable and annoyed, but i cant do anything about it.
oh well, almost £500 isnt bad, and will be nearly £600 when i decide what debt to take it off.0 -
