  • Hi all,
Shadydaz just lookin at your % amount paid off is inspiration for me, I know it is frustrating seeing totals rise though. I have almost cleared my overdraft, and am delighted not to be donating £1 a day to the Halifax! However, doing this means I use my cc to live on ( at least its 0%) - ah swings n roundabouts. On the plus side my selling is going well. Today have made £21.99 from selling old cds on Musicmagpie, and have another phone on ebay ending tonight (my darling OH decided we should sell his upgrade handset in the spirit of moneysaving, and he has kept his old phone - I am so proud of him :T) Hopefully have another wee chunk to pay quite soon.

I transfered some more money to my savings account today. So, with a bit of luck, OH will get a job in the next couple of weeks and I can transfer that to one of the CCs rather than using it to pay bills.

    Hey all,

Haven't had the chance to comment lately but am still reading up on everyone's progress.

jojisui - Sorry to hear about work. Will keep our fingers crossed that it will all come good.
tlc123 - Well done on the new car purchase, such a big step in selling the old one!
shadydaz - I know the feeling about the overdraft, but stick with us and it'll get there.

I was paid on Monday but haven't cleared any other debts yet as waiting for OH's wages and the usual end of month to roll round. Am pleased that we've not really been spending though and have received £11.03 from musicmagpie, £74 from envirofone and counted £10 from the penny jar so hopefully can put that towards something.

Have also been asked by a friend to work at a wedding show on Sunday so that's a few pennies for the pot too!

Hope you're all well, keep up the good work. xx
Wandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! Debts cleared nearly £18k. Now to start saving ...

Yes it is frustrating about the overdraft, but 6 weeks ago I was at the bottom of a £1000 pit. I have only just dipped into it from today and its payday on Friday. I reduced it by half so now the limit is £500. There is a check for "£250 to come out of that but it is for the better half's driving lessons christmas pressie. Roll on June. If we get a summer bonus then it will be gone for EVER.
