  • Well, just calculated I've paid about $715 so far this month.. but I think I'll leave counting and just see if I can get rid of the debts... that will be the main thing for me... not spending on the cards at all while I'm paying them off ;)

£700 a month is a monsterous amount, some people only earn that.

I know! Trust me, its a big chunk of my income, but pulling it out from under myself a the begining of the month seems to be the only way to keep it from getting spent!

  • Hi all, I was going to hold off until 30th to declare, but as I have no money left it doesn't look like I'll be making any more savings this month.

My chances of saving £10,000 this year have been scuppered by the decision to buy a new car and take advantage of the scrappage scheme. So it looks like I shall have to say £10k as a mixture of savings for my house deposit and paying off the car debt.

So just £700 in total for me this year.

Keep up the good work everybody xxx

Called the bank today to reduce my overdraft by £1000 - I'm so happy! I actually did a physical jump for joy when I put the phone down. :j

Might slow down the repayments for a few weeks for other stuff but it'll save me £31 a month in charges:)

Some minimum payments and my snowball amount went off the cc so the amount I'm down by is slowly reducing. Loads of people watching my items on ebay but now bids put in yet! I'm going to try and list some more tonight.
