omg just been doing my online banking and was thinking .. right i have £94 there i could use for...when my eye noticed the available balance was £394, i'd completely forgotten i've got an overdraft on the account cause i've now stopped seeing it as my money! it's the 1st time in years i haven't thought about using my overdraft AND I'M A STUDENT!!!! (albiet a very mature one):T in a way halifax did me a favour when they started to charge a pound a day.. I thought 'a pound a day ..no f'in way!'
HIM was gonna change banks, but this has kept him in the black :T:T

I LOVE this thread. I'm astounded at people signatures - it looks like we are averaging paying/saving £800 each so far this month. That's pretty incredible.
And it's bringing out my competitive streak...I'm constantly trying to think of ways to bring my totals up faster.
*goes off to check spreadsheet for third time this evening* :rotfl:
Its a bit less than that but still impressive! I wish I could pay mine faster too. It's so frustrating :mad:Was in debt £23k- Not now (12/07-12/10):T

I'll have to behave for another month now cos I'm nearly skint, but I'm finding it really strange how satisfying it is to see these figures coming down. I think I've just become another convert to obsessive moneysaving!!
Everyone is doing really well :T
EXCELLENT, WELL DONE! :j
Great start too, that is a super amount. Was in debt £23k- Not now (12/07-12/10):T

Pay day today and the extra £300 I used to pay off debts has had to go in my savings account for the second month running. OH has given me enough money to cover the bills till the end of February but until he gets another job I need to keep that money there just in case. I really feel like I've hit a wall in paying back the debt but until we get that second income we're stuck. Hopefully he'll get something soon and that money can go towards debt as originally intended.
Are you still making our minimum payments Knitty78? That counts towards you total too if you want it to?Was in debt £23k- Not now (12/07-12/10):T

Hi everyone,
grr Jan is a slow and skint month! I'm not doing as well as I can at all, and still waiting patiently for payday lol.
a further £34 and £10 for me to add, from MS'ing and expenses from work. ) I always save my expenses payments, as it feels better to do that than have it eaten up in my current account!)
Am waiting on a couple more payments, but will update at the end of the month.0 -

Evening all,
Can't wait till payday next week, this has been the longest month EVER! Frustrated tonight as checking online accounts, and my cc company have taken £145 (old amount) they were meant to take min payment £36, so this has bumped my overdraft up again argggggg, the phrase one step forward and two back springs to mind......will have to phone them tomorrow and sort it out, don't want a repeat next month
Hope everyone has a good weekend
