  • Hey Everyone!

Just a quick question about this challenge....

The amounts that everyone is declaring, are they the amounts you are paying off your debts before or after you have taken monthly interest payments off?

For example, I have paid £557 today off my debts today, but I know I will have £68 interest to pay off that so am I supposed to declare the £557 or £489?

Sorry to be sooooo pedantic, but I really want to get this right (and I don't want to cheat either!!)

    hi all!

So its the first and we're off!!!!!

I have made a decision, I'm not going to by another flash car with the money from mine - its on auto trader for 5750. I've got a budget of between 2k and 3k for a new one I'll try and spend 2500 and theoretically if I sell mine for say 5500 the I'll have £3k! Woo that's a whole loan gone!! :money:martin would be so proud of us!

tlc123 - Well done! It sounds like you've got a plan there. :j Martin, would indeed be proud!

willsmum - I don't think it's possible to cheat, as long as you are actually paying debts off. I'm still trying to get my head round figures and now need to update sig to include all debts I think but will be reporting on what's paid off e.g. the £557. Well that's what I think anyway! :o

peetzil39 - somewhere at the top of your page forum page it should say Welcome, peetzil39 then next to that a blue 'Private Messages'. If you go in there are type in loumac you should be able to send me a messeage with your email address in and then I can send you the book as an attachment. Hope that helps. ;)

Yeah there's no way to cheat. i can't even work out my interest, I'm not that good, so I'll just be totally what I pay incl interest and any extra. Its all about PMA and if I knock off the intersest I fear I'll lose the will!!!

Still looking for a decent cheap car - just cant decide. I just love my all singing all dancing one so much :-(

I'm going to add £50 to my total today, from savings. We spend a lot on birthday/greetings cards each year, they seem to cost at least £2 each  and we send dozens each year.

Have now ordered via moo.com 50 photo cards with envelopes made with some of my partner's great images from flickr. Total cost: £44 including delivery. :D At less than a pound a card, I think this will save us at least £50, and be much more individual and thoughtful. Plus I can write them in advance and don't need to panic about picking up a last minute card. I'm also due 15% cashback through topcashback at some point.

Plus £5 redeemed from topcashback from purchases last year.:T
