Hey all
Not been on here since the first few pages. Have managed to catch up and see you are all doing so well!! Keep up with it and well done. I'm really going to struggle with the challenge now, not been on here because my boyf and I have split. And we only bought the house a year ago. Have a fixed rate mortgage for another 2 years so have massive redemption costs, solicitors fees, agency fees to sell house etc etc. Reckon I'm going to lose about £20k in total. Boooo! So disappointed that my debt is only to get worse this year than it was last year. And gotta sort all house stuff out. Argh man! Woe is me!!
Hope you all had a great christmas and have a great new year
Oh no, Baz, I'm sorry to hear that! Keep strong and try to enjoy the new year as much as you can.Mortgage free by 30:eek:: £28,000/£100,000Debt free as of 1 October, 2010

Oh no Bazwood what a rotten start to the year! Unfortunately it was a similar thing that got me into debt, but at least you're in the right place for support. I can't find the hugs piccie so have a beer instead .
I finally got round to swapping my energy suppliers today *hangs head in shame as been an MSE'er for about a year now* but thankfully it will save me £45 so more money for this challenge, and it knocks 3 months off my DFD!

Evening all,
Recipe book on the way to those who've requested it. Happy to keep sending, but you need to let me know email addresses so I know where it needs to go!Don't forget to share if you have any major successes!
I've had a good day, not quite no spend but interesting never the less.
Went to John Lewis with left over vouchers from wedding and managed to buy more of my dinner service in the sale saving about £15 on previous prices. Then when paid with vouchers got £7 change in cash.
Then went to cash in two scratchcards worth £7 so even after paying for parking came up £12 more in my purse than when I went out. :T
Have popped into dad's and had tea and cake there and then to mum's for more tea and more cake. Not helping diet resolutions but free tea and cake when we are starbucks addicts is not bad going.
Funny how you become really aware of all these little things when you join a challenge.
bazwod - Sorry to read about your news, try and stay on MSE as lots of support and lots of suggestions to get you through tough times. (financially at least!)
sally - well done on energy savings! It's definitely worth doing....hmmm... off I go. :rotfl:
Enjoy your Saturday evening and will no doubt be back tomorrow. xWandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! Debts cleared nearly £18k. Now to start saving ...0 -

Hi guys!
Sorry its been a little while since my last post, but am happy to report that some progress has been made!
I've made the following payments towards the debts since my last post: -
21.12.09 £59.77
29.12.09 £150.00
29.12.09 £30.00
02.01.10 £85.00
So my total is now £499.77 :j, although that amount is driving me nuts so I may make a payment of 23p to bring it up to a round £500! :rotfl:
