  • hello,
I'm new and have been looking at all the debt free wannabe posts to try and get myself sorted. I'd like to join this challenge if possible please. I rekon im about 22k in debt not including my mortgage so want to clear at least 10k this year. So far i have sold some perfume i have had for 6 moths and never opened, recycled my phone and sold my partners old ps2 which hes never goign to use now he has a new one. £60 off my debt in 3 days. I am also really pleased with myself as I went to b and q and did not buy a big plant that looked gorgeous and would have gone great in the space where christmas tree was! I have also done my first online shop at tesco to arive on tuesday night ( in the cheapest delivery slot) I know this is £3 that i could be saving but I have never ever managed to stay within any kind of budget when i go into the supermarket so this is a way of making sure i stay in budget. I'm going for £40 this week and aim to reduce to 35 next week. would have been 35 this week if i didn't have to feed my dog!! I am back to work on monday and I plan to not buy any food from the shop. in fact i think i'll leave my purse at home. enough waffle - sorry... can i join ..

    Hi Nomorespending,

Don't feel bad for the £3 delivery charge. Its worth more in the long run as you are not able to impulse buy and spend more than intended and you save petrol/transport costs too.

Have paid off £557 so far, but that's it now until the 8th (5 days and counting!) Would love to try and make £1k this month - fingers crossed!!

Well done to everyone so far - what a great start we have all made!

I am in the process of washing and ironing a load of items to go onto ebay - are single items or bundles of clothes better to sell??
