  • Eek, saving not going well so far. Put car in for MOT yesterday and just had a quote for £450!!! Also have tax and insurance to stump up in January, so around £1k in total

At this rate, I'll probably be adding £10k of debt in 2010...

...I know that feeling... my car broke down yesterday... in the middle of a blizzard, on Saddleworth Moor... the clutch has gone. It will cost me £180approx to fix... on top of having to buy my tax and MOT for this year ahead this month too... joy.

Let's not let our car problems get in the way of our aim though... we can't fall at the first hurdle!

    Happy New Year!

  • Hi all,
I don't have any debts, but really need to save money this year so please count me in. To be honest, 10K isn't realistic at the moment but I am looking for either a 3rd job or for a new full time job with better pay so maybe I can do it after all. Either way, sign me up!! :)

well its the first, let the battle against the debt commence.

as its the first my minimum payments have left the building, and as im including them thats another £180 to add to the total
If we can put a man on the moon...how come we cant put them all there?

  • Count me in. I have a good idea and I reckon it would scale well enough to make 10k - but I could do with some accountability to help me keep motivated and on-track. I've been lurking for about a year and you're all very supportive.
