Hi all,
I think this challenge would be achieveable for me and would like to join you if that's okay.
With my current debt at just under £50k, I need to maintain this for the next 5 years to be totally debt free but having started out on a dmp over 3 years ago with debts over £80k, I am getting there (slowly - but surely)!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
Had a New Year's party last night, managed to only spend £5 on food, and asked everyone to bring something along which worked out great. Used alcohol already around house, so no spend there either!
Feeling soooo positive about this challenge, planning to have a rake up the loft later for more items to sell on ebay. DH who is much better than me at managing money is very sceptical though, doesn't think I can do it (this is making me even more determined to succeed, and prove him wrong)

Hi
HAPPY NEW YEAR.
1st payment of my plan £99.33 to CC.
Other ways to make money are get a lodger / or foreign language students if you have the room. If you have a driveway or any other space you could try renting it out on usemyspace.co.uk, which is free to register and also if you drive a regular route at regular times you could sign up to nationalcarshare.co.uk and cut your costs (also free to register).
Thanks

Hi all,
Am trying to catch up on reading through the thread to date (hate it when I've missed the start of something!)
Can I just clarify - is the plan to earn an EXTRA 10K or would normal direct debits/payment plans count towards paying the 10K? Sorry if I'm being dense.
I'd like to try and join in as me and OH are about £15K in debt in total after a holiday to New Zealand in 2008 and getting married in 2009. Oops!
If I can offically join I'll update signature and get on track. Haven't been on MSE in over 12 months I don't think, maybe this is where the problem started!Wandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! Debts cleared nearly £18k. Now to start saving ...0
