    Hey Chris, add me please.

I fully don't expect to get anywhere near £10,000 , be lucky to save a grand or two but I guess if you shoot for the stars eh?

This will be really motivating. I guess I will ebay some bits and maybe a boot sale. I have some regular savings which I will add as well, bits of interest, savings jar. Be interesting to see what you guys come up with too, maybe get some other ideas.

Are you going to do a roll call of names and progress?

    Very excited.

    Boom. xx

oh dear - big setback. I appear to be twice over my overdraft limit. Not good. Another week til payday, but that's only a week's wages and won't help at all. Not good and has put me in a bad mood!! We applied for our loan for our wedding yesterday (which is included in the debt we already consider ourselves to have). But sadly, we need to give them a copy of our most recent bank statement, which cearly shows what a mess its in. One positive is the new loan is only in my partners name so apparently they only consider his debts and split other outgoings in half - he only has one other loan. Do you think it'll be ok? I'm nervous no - part of that is to take the top of my OD which wil totally sort us out, but I'm pooing myslf now!

  • Can i join in with this challenge please guys:D

i know that it is a steep figure but if i have it as a challenge then i'm hoping you will all motivate me when i'm struggling. £10k off my debt would really make a big difference for me as that is two thirds of it:eek:

  • Hey all, hope everythings going ok?

Hey Tlc, Ive gone into my overdraft like that before without realising and its a horrible feeling so heres a group hug to make you feel better. :grouphug:

I've not been around to much because I've been earning a wee bit of overtime, some of which will get paid on the last day of Dec and then the rest at the end of January, so that will all go towards my £10K. But thats all I've managed to do so far because Ive got a problem with my rotar (rotator?) cuff on my right arm. Think its the same as yours Chris? I had an injection in the joint and thats helped a bit.

Hope everyones going okay/preparing, I counted it up and there's only 18 days to go until 2010!!!!!!!

I'd like to join please! 3000 to clear in 2010...a piddling amount compared to some of you but my money situation is dire (actually, its really my attitude towards money that sucks) and I'm on a very low income so its a large amount to me! How do these things work, you just post your updates on this thread?

  • Brilliant list Shady!
I've kept chipping away slowly in the hope of getting my debt back down to £10000 by Jan 1st! Have managed to pay off £62.45 so far, every little helps. Pay day tomorrow so should be able to pay off a bit more. Only problem is we're getting paid 2 weeks early for Xmas , so these wages have got to last a long time so need to make sure I'm not too ambitious and try to pay off too much leaving me short at the end of January! Think there's only so many turkey sandwiches/curries the kids and OH will be able to cope with!

Hi to all the new guys! This should be great with so many people to support each other!

  • ooh im number 9, thats my lucky number!!!!

i seem to have done alright with xmas pressies this year and most of them have been on offer, my best buy was for my fil, its a quick boil kettle thingy so pretty much have instant hot water, was over £70, i got it for £30ish!!!!!!!! yeah for bargain hunting!!!!!!!

I have loads stashed everywhere to ebay so will wait untill the first few weeks in jan have passed then will do my best to get it all listed! I will need pushing to do this as its one job i find so easy to push to the back of the list, would rather tackle the ironing and thats saying something!!!!!

I cant wait for the new year now, have my OH on board finally (only taken over a year) so hopefully should be a force to be reckoned with!!!!

    how is everyone else?
