Had my sign language course today. It is really interest but we have an exam in a couple of weeks

I knew I read that someone was doing a sign language course! Is it BSL level 1??? That's what I'm doing at the moment :)

Ummm Jinky... you quoted me then started ranting about men:confused: I think you were supposed to be replying to Carlsberg:confused:(hugs) as I'm not actually have man problems (unless you count the mortgage advisor - hint;))

We're waiting to here about a mortgage. We would LOVE to be able to buy a bigger house with a garden and more importantly it would be me and DH's first house together (as he moved into MY house... as I always remind him;):rotfl:) And hopefully we will be needing an extra bedroom soon:o:D

And the more important email I'm waiting for is about trying to find "someone who is very important to me"'s dad (who they haven't seen since being very little. I think it's going to be a long process but I have had a response to the email I sent saying it has been forwarded to someone else who may be able to help :j

I must do HHI at some point.... maybe a bit later;)

Whilst Facebook and this place where out of action I ironed everything except DHs work shirts. I still have to do those though or he wont have one for tomorrow, and before anyone suggests he should iron his own he works stupidly long hours in a job he detests so that I don't have to work full time, the least I can do is iron him some shirts and make his dinner regardless of what time he finally gets home tonight :kisses3:.

Greenbee I will have a look at my fabric collection and have a think. I am pretty sure I have some 90" thermal stuff somewhere which make good backs for blinds.

    Welcome lazydaisy

Thanks Lady-L and Triker and Boddy
    Love the garden pix Greenbee
carlsberggal - thanks. Big hugs back to you too. Difficult days for you all xxx
    Hugs JillD
Smartie12 - I have everything crossed for whatever it may be you're eagerly waiting for
MissHiggerty - well done on finishing your paper

My day has been good in that I haven't injured myself more. Ankle's holding up. I strapped it up tightly and didn't take the stick in the end and I coped, albeit by walking slowly. It's still quite swollen but only hurts if I move it in certain ways.

I did go out and do some more leaflets (650 done, another 650 to go) through doors and I found that if I step like THAT, the muscle up the outside of my shin doesn't half protest big time! So I don't step like THAT.

I have not flown but need to do a bit tonight as I have a meeting here tomorrow evening at 4pm so stuff needs to be tidy before I leave for work tomorrow. I have some salmon from the freezer defrosting for my dinner and I'm going to do the 10 minute ice trick on the ankle now with a soothing glass of white wine.

Hello Folks! Today was focussed on faciliating the long-overdue cleaning of the lounge carpet. The lounge has never been so 'decluttered'! Apart, that is, from the bit around the corner of the alcove under the stairs. where a pile of stuff that's been there for at least six months is almost propping the staircase up!:o

It's not exactly gleaming but considering what a daft colour it is, how much use and abuse it gets it's as good as it's going to be. And if you take into account fuel to fetch and return a Rug Doctor, it was even cheaper than doing it myself.

I had aimed to do lots of sorting out in the 'dining room' (conservatory / office / dumping ground) but that's the one part of the house that I've yet to tackle since joining this thread - and most in need of attention. But the carpet cleaner was a very nice chatty man and I decided to bake some cakes for my boys. Did pretty well in the kitchen though (because I knew he'd need to get to the sink - motivation for clear worktops and degunked taps!)

Now deliberating what to bring back into the lounge. It looks so big and lovely withour the TV chest ! Another job application to do tomorrow so DH had better not expect me to pile everything back anytime soon!
