    Hi :j
Triker - did you say chocolate orange cake?? :D Didn't notice what time you wanted us there for coffee and cake??? :rotfl:Any chance of the recipe as I think you mentioned the key word - easy!

    Jx

Yep here it is, its a Nigella one

    can be tweaked a bit

    Chocolate Orange cake

    mixed all in one pan.

    Oven 180 or Gas 4

    125g butter

    100g dark choc broken up

    300g marmalade

    150g sugar

    pinch salt

    2 eggs beaten

    150g self raising flour

Melt butter in a heavy bottomed pan, over low heat,

    when melted stir in chocolate

take off heat until chocoalte melts

Add marmalade, sugar, salt and eggs

    Mix well

    Beat in flour

Pour whole lot into prepared tin (20cm Springform) I used a cake tin liner inside and bake for 50 mins.

Cool for 10 mins before turning out.

Instead of marmalade you can substitute it for any flavour jam, same amount 300g ie raspberry, strawberry, apricot etc.....I think I'll do raspberry and chocolate tonight.

    It really was gorgeous, :D

  • Had a long sleep this morning, still not feeling too good but got up at about 1. Headache is going but I feel really low and quite rubbish really. I'm really disappointed with myself that I didn't get to see Lady Liberty today.

Since I've been up I've knitted a flower, and have my lightbox on. My nan phoned too which was nice, she told me all about her holiday (rain and holiday companions had colds) and it was nice to hear from her. I've also tidied the LR floor and kitchen floor and have got the hoover out as I'm going to try to hoover later if I feel up to it. Oh and the washing machine is on.

Nikki you are doing really well with your lists

    Welcome Kellylea and Daisy

    Diva, yay you are back!

Big hugs Lala, hope you are feeling better soon xx

Boddy well done on weight loss!

Hugs Jill, I’m sure that once she calms down she will realise it wasn’t your fault

Smartie, I’m intrigued, hope you get the result you want

Hi Guys, just 'resting' at the mo.

Today went well, lovely team, very welcoming, just getting myself used to it all really. My team is very small so I'd be sat in an office on my own so I've been put with a much larger team to re-integrate.

On reduced hours, building up over next 4 weeks. Nice to be back but nice to get home and lie down too.:D

Thanks for all the best wishes from people.

Greenbee, there's a garden that needs chickens, I can see a lovely hen house and run just at the end of your garden....think of those lovely fresh eggs.:p

My couple, Stan and Hilda Eggdon, would love a holiday home darn sarf...how about it?:rotfl:

Flying ~ I've decluttered some more chocolate cake and moved some clothes off my bed onto the floor. Do I get a Star?

Nothing worse than sitting in an office on your own. I hope everyone is being nice to you :D I bet your team have missed you.

lovely idea... but I'm not home much so I think they'd probably have a pretty miserable life... and either be eaten by the local wildlife (cats & dogs rather than foxes) or starve to death while I was away.

They're welcome to come for a holiday, but you'll have to come with them to keep an eye on them... I know what chickens do to flowerbeds :p
