Jinky - you should be packing, not hanging around looking for gossip :p And looking at the PC screen won't help your headache. Go and drink lots of water and keep away from the PC/TV for a couple of hours.

Greenbee - My DH works in Hook and/or Basingstoke at least once a week, so I know what a long drive it is. Serena and Dusty both know far more than me, and are closer surely? I do have some pretty garden design books that may be useful though? I have also just read the last thread and saw your comments there so apologies for telling you to do what you had already done re the clay :o. South facing sounds good though - masses of choice then. If you want some inspiration and you are ever near Rutland then I recommend Geoff Hamiltons old place - Barnsdale Gardens. We liked it so much we got married there.

I have now scrubbed the bathroom and put the mats in the WM, shined the kitchen sink and made a start on the list. I must hoover, but the urgency has gone as my sister has just cancelled. She flies tomorrow and is running out of time to do stuff. Good job really, what a way to start a once in a lifetime adventure - with my stinking cold.

You could always come down with your DH :D I'm surprised he has the energy for all your DIY if he's doing that journey regularly. I can see now why you say he's making sacrifices - even if he loved the job, that's a tough commute.

You shouldn't be reading through the old thread, you have stuff to do - like RESTING if you're feeling grotty! No need to apologise - I don't expect everyone to read every post I make (fascinating as they are ;)), and its nice to have confirmation that I'm doing roughly the right thing.

I know your sister is off travelling and has left you her books to feed and water, but do you have any more details to make us more jealous?

Jinky - pleased to see you've logged off!

OK... must stop messing about on here and do some preparation - I have a client call at 3.30 which I need to swot up for :o
