Morning lovelies – quick update. DD2 told her dad last night and he was very good with her. Spoke to him briefly on the phone, but having a talk today. Went to sisters last night and told her and loads of alcohol I’m afraid! This morning DD2 and I went to the doctors, she thinks her last period now was the end of august as she can remember it was when she went to York, that makes her according to doctor around 11 weeks and 4 days. Won’t do a scan, says it takes weeks to arrange even in these circumstances! !!!!!!? I asked if we could have it done privately as it seemed to be something DD2 was clinging to. He asked her if it would change her mind on what she decides if the scan said 8 weeks or it said 12 weeks and she said no. He’s giving us a couple of days to talk and for her to make her decision and then we will take it from there. This is she can’t seem to make a decision.

DH and I had big talk with my sister last night, if she decides she wants to keep it, there’s a possibility that we could extend into the loft, that would mean DD1 won’t feel she has to move out (even though we’ve told her repeating she can’t (hotel California here!) and that DD2 would have a bigger bedroom as you can hardly get more than a single bed and chest of drawers, bedside table in the little room, definitely not enough room for carrycot/cot. And we don’t think it’s fair for DD1 to have to move out of her room, though I know she would. It would mean re-mortgaging but that’s not the end of the world, got a lot of equity and we could manage financially. I’ve told DD2 this morning this and she’s saying we can’t afford it and we shouldn’t have to do it, I said we can afford and we will. We are having more talks this evening, the poor lamb doesn’t know what to do, but it HAS to be her decision

Flying – I’ve done sweet FA!! Well apart from dailies.

Love and hugs all round. Soappie – that sounds sore. Toots and AnW’sMum – have a fab time! Rose – hope you feel better. Sorry that I’ve left others out, heads a shed at the moment.

OOh - and when we got out of the doctors DD1's boyfriend was stood there, he'd come to see how we had got on, bless him, brought a lump to my throat.

Greenbee - best of luck with it, looks a good shape and size to me. IMHO you would be best spending your cash on improving the soil structure of that clay whilst it is fairly empty. I assume from what I know of you that you already compost everything? You probably already know this but lots and lots of horticultural grit, sand and all the organic matter you can manage.

I still have this stupid cold so I am working from home today. Trying to get pottery bits done in between working. If I am ill no one else tidies even, never mind actual cleaning and it is just grim. WM, TD and DW are on. I need to S&S the loos, and get some bleach soaking in the sinks.

Want to come and help when you're feeling better :D???

Irritatingly the topsoil is now pretty good, as I've spent 10 years digging in chicken poo, sand, grit, compost and bark - but I'll probably lose most of it and have to start again . However, I also noticed that since I last cleared it out and did the whole lot, it's managed to fill up with bindweed roots, weeds and general rubbish, so it needs doing anyway. I have friends who empty a bed each year to clean it out, but I'm not that organised or energetic. I do enjoy digging though :o (remind me in March... I'll have forgotten by then).

I plan to have a proper composting system as part of the new design - with food waste composting as well as garden waste, and to have the bins somewhere with enough light to get them hot so that the compost takes less than three years to mature...

    Hope you feel better soon.

    Morning all.
Touch of the BD today :(

I was fine first thing but went to speak to SENCO at school having cancelled meetin glast week when DS was off. She never got the message that I cancelled and is clearly in the huff with me and said she has no time this week or next and flounced off saying she would have to check her diary. It anoys me cos school think its a good idea to leave Yr 6's in charge of the office (and security and phone ....) at lunchtime  Responsibiity yadda yadda but no use if they dont pass on the right message.

So I walked home from school very cross and grumpy and was in tears by the time I got home.I need her to be on my side not working against me. I am aware of the timelines and want it sorted before he goes into a much bigger class in Yr 3. DH is not that supportive and wants to believe there is no problem and won't talk about it.

Went shopping and cried my eyes out on the way home when that Slipping Through My fingers song from Mamma Mia came on (argh I am off again - waaaahhhhh), it does me in every time. I bought some chocolate cos I felt sorry for myself, have eaten it and now feel sick and guilty as I have SW tonight :(

Thats the thing with that bl00dy black dog. He creeps up and bites you on the bum when you didnt even know he was there.

Going to read this mornings gossip on the thread now.
