  • We have been to tell my mum and dad, they took it well apart from obviously being worried for her as it will be hard. Thought mum would break down as soon as we told her as we are a weepy family, but she held it together until we were leaving. DD2 came with us, DD1 bottled it, but can't blame her for that.

Jedward - ARE PANTS!!! Would really like them on Britains Got Talent, but on a singing show to supposedly become the next Mariah Carey or George Michael absolutely not! So there!!!

Oh and you'll all be VERY proud of me. I have had to use the TD today so I made sure I hit the shed before it stoppped and a bit of judicious folding means I DON'T NEED TO IRON DS'S SCHOOL TROUSERS. I have, of course, ironed the sheets and pillowcases. I do like them smooth. And the shirts...
Given that DS doesn't appreciate your laundry service, I'm not quite sure why you're ironing ANY of his stuff :D

Washing in TD. Kitchen surfaces cleared, more washing up done... just steaming the cauliflower (which wasn't eaten last weekend) to make cauliflower cheese. Better go and make the cheese sauce (with some ricotta I accidentally defrosted thinking it was an old tub with goose casserole in it ).

If I finally get things sorted, I'm going to reward myself sometime between now and Christmas with some self-indulgent baking which will then be distributed to family to fatten them all up :D. I like cooking, but then it always needs to be eaten :o

Oh... and I must start organising my birthday :D

Grandmas and grandads always want their grandchildrens lives to be wonderful, with roses around the cottage door etc, but whilst mine do, they have lived especially mum when she was on her own with us three for years and really struggled (even with massive help from my nana and grandddad- so she worries all the more. I call dad dad as that's what he is to me, but actually my step-dad. I'm actually now it's sinking I'm thinking I might be a nana? Mum couldn't call herself that because no-one could live up to my nana she was the most brilliant person, but how about a change? Don't know, any thoughts? xx

My nana was an amazing person and am sure you could more than live up to your nana's name, I personally prefer Nan or Nana to Granny or Gran ;)
