Valli - I love fairytales with Happy Endings and you tell them so well

Been working on kids Christmas present lists/ideas/price comparisons all afternoon - they are now driving me mad and I might get them naught!

Rach - yes Hermes is the self employed delivering out of the back of a car one. They used to be parcelnet or something? Not all of the couriers work on Saturdays and I think out for delivery means it has been passed on to the local person. Same people deliver for Next and redcats, etc.

Dusty - I do sympathise. DS2 is just being grim at the moment and I am really tempted to not let him have his main present. DS1 has stuck to the deal we made around getting dressed, going to bed quietly, being dry at night etc, and DS2 has made no effort at all. Seems very unfair that they both should get the big present. DS1 is earning extra points for DS2 because he doesn't want him to be sad! Sweet, but sums up the problem.

makes SPECIAL note as knows where AnWs earns a crust - is that ALL your branches?

I know of no limit in any branch. If it is a small branch and I had a LOT of change I would ask when the best time was or be prepared to leave it for them to check at quieter times. We took in over £3000 in changed yesterday and most of it was in bronze and 5 and 10p pieces :eek: So long as it is bagged as per denominations on the cash bags with no mixed coin it shouldn't be a problem. Some BSoc agencies and POs impose a 5 bag.day limit.

My children have made me an eye patch for tonight. It's hideous! I'm going to leave the house with theirs on and then I've got a gabrielle type one with black sequins on lent to me by a teacher at my children's school. Sorry, I love my children but not enough to wear what they've made to a dinner where I don't know many people :rotfl::rotfl:

Oh come come you have to wear the patch the kids made :p Make sure you have a pic (before you get to the dinner) with it on so you can prove you wore it ;) Enjoy the evening.

Have been at swimming lessons this morning and then setting up for the beetle drive this evening. Got 25 jacket pots cooking right now ready to take down in a bit. Found out The Beatles CD to play while we are eating. SWs are helping out with the running of it tonight so that should be fun :D

Miss Toots I hope you are resting in between those jobs or have I to come back up there and take you in hand? :p
    Hugs all round.

I've had it for ages, and I'm sure it wasn't nearly that expensive - maybe it isn't actually le creuset . I either got if from somewhere like Debenhams or from my local independent department store (in fact, if I got it from them it would either have been a second or in the sale).

I keep most of my saucepans (I probably have nearly as many as you :o) on top of my kitchen units, so they're out of the way most of the time - I can just reach them to get them down, and it's easier than lifting them out of cupboards. I then have cast iron trivets on the surface to put them on when they're hot.

Anyway, there is no way they do one big enough to keep ALL your le creuset on :p:p:p

I don't think my bank (good with money - well they're good with food;))
has a limit either - but I usually try to 'bank' my shrapnel in my savings A/c which is elsewhere...

I have ALSO remembered to take my co-op receipts into the office to have the divi added (mislaid membership card) ANDI now have a string thing to hold my reading glasses round my neck when they're not on my nose. I also bought fruit, vegetables and eggs from the market. Now trying to decided what to do for Sunday dinner - depends whenther DS is footballing...gammon's on offer at the co-op

    Evening folks,

All STARS please, spent the day doing the lsits, done loads.:j:j:j
Plus the bluddy wind has damaged 2 panel of glass in my green house  so spent what seemed like ages collecting up the glass into a bucket, then went to the tip to get rid of it.

washing all done and folded waiting ironing tomorrow.

Was off tomorrow to visit my fathers cousin (85) she has rung me and called it off as 3 of her friends have died in the last 5 days! and she says she really is not up to any visits. So I'm going to clear the rest of the debris from the storms from the garden instead.

I hope everyone is ok and no one is flooded out

    Hugs all round

    Good Evening Everyone

I am on to blow my own trumpet :p as I feel as if I have done millions today (although this is prob the normal for all you superwomen lol) and finally am sitting down with HM pizza and wine (not HM) and kids have eaten HM chicken nuggets and strawberry milkshake. Well DH has been away from yesterday afternoon at a pool tournament and not back until tomorrow so here is how my day has went:-

Got up, made bed, made coffee, started cooking all of next weeks dinners, got kids up, got them breakfast, got us all clean and dressed, went to swimming lesson with kids, came back and carried on with cooking.

DW x 3 :eek:Last load on just now before I do a clean cycle
    WM x 2
    TD x 2
Folded 2 x loads washing and put away
    DD room all tidied
    DS room all tidied
    BM on with sandwich loaf
All of next weeks meals in the freezer
WM now going through a clean cyle (I assume this is just a wash with nothing in)
    S & S Kitchen (about 3 times)
Cleaned up milkshake DD spilled all over S & S'd worktops

Sorry for the boast but am really proud of myself I just hope I don't lose interest as I have really enjoyed this today and kids have been brilliant.:D

Hmm it doesn;t really look like much now :o but honest, I have been up since 7.15 and just sat on my behind 30 mins ago.

Will update list tomorrow as I am not changing bedding until tomorrow so its all fresh for DH coming home :D

Hugs to all who needs it, hope you are well and your weather isn;t too bad,

  • Oooh, A'n'W's mum - I'd forgotten that you worked in a bank :j Can you answer a Q for me, please :D I'm treasurer of my W's football team. Today DH was given a cheque that had been through the wash  What's my chance of the bank accepting it

    TIA :A Penny. x

whatever we have we're having it with spuds and sprouts!

I'm impressed... it's obviously been a day for getting the little irritating things sorted. And I'm glad you've been to the market rather than the supermarket :D

kazw - sorry to hear about your greenhouse. Didn't you have problems with it before when we had storms?

Ditto re. the flooding - I hope nobody is affected, but can't remember whether there are any flyladies in the areas affected.

    Horrid weather...

Washing up half done, the rest is soaking. WM fed. DW emptied and stuff put away. Have now run out of motivation, but I'd better get going and clear up the cake-decorating stuff in the kitchen so I can sort out some food.
