    Oi Pigsy!

The Thrifty Gifty Organised for Christmas Thread on the Special Occ Board is v. helpful and there are a lot with littlies too who might be able to help. It is a very friendly fun place too!

My only thought was try a Home Bargains or B+M and see if they have anythings that would be suitable for DSs and DDs

    Afternoon all,

Well the auction was a bit pants - ok if you wanted expensive paintings or electrical goods, and was due to last 3 hours, so my Mum and I left my Dad to it (he wanted to try and get a laptop for my sister for christmas), whilst we went to Arundel to look at the shops. Ended up buying a Christmas present for my Mum as she saw something she liked. Then we came back here and had a cup of tea and some M&S lemon drizzle cake that had been donated by MIL earlier in the week.

Have emptied and reloaded the dishwasher.

OH has just got home from work, so when we've finished our cups of tea, we're heading over to my M&D's before Mr T, cos my Mum is giving me some coffee filters as she doesn't use them any more, and the clear filter holders so the kids can see the water running through, as well as a metal seive. I know the filter paper won't be authentic, but as greenbee says, at least I won't have to wash the teatowels afterwards as they can just be binned. :)

Sheets are in the TD, so need to check on them in a minute and put them away if they're ready before we go. AF has joined me today too, so feeling a bit uncomfortable.

Spending the day out with my Mum has been just what I needed though, as the pain in my tummy seems to have gone! I definitely think it must have been IBS caused by stress rather than a bug, but even so, I needed to have that time off as I was still in pain, and very tired from lack of sleep.

Hope everyone has had a good day.

I got some of jars too, but know I won't have time to make anything exciting, so will do feta with herbs and oil and some spicy vodka (uses up the vodka too )
    .

I'm going to do Nigella's super quick chilli jam and the choc pecan spread which is in the sains mag - it's basically pecans & icing sugar , bit of oil and bit of milk powder all whizzed in the magimix!

Have flown after a fashion with help from DH.....hoovered through, cleaned bathroom, more or less packed my case (skirt fits which is handy for the dinner :D), gathered up receipts etc for shredding...so a few things to cross off. No stars but it's passable til next week when DH is talking of doing a deep clean.

hex - mine is hermes courier - is that the back of the car one?!

    big announcement
Once upon a time, long long before Valli became a flylady, she was given, for christmas, two precious and special photographs. These photographs were of her grandparents enjoying the summer sunshine and Valli and her sisters, on holiday in Cornwall with their mum. For a very long time they lay, almost forgotten in a drawer. Then they were brought out of the drawer and put, in their folders, on a shelf by the computer in readiness to be framed. But every Saturday Valli would go to town and forget to buy frames. This went on for a long time.
Suddenly, one rainy, dreary November day Valli was going into town and THIS TIME she remembered to take the photos in their folders in order to choose frames...

AND NOW THEY ARE UP ON THE WALL! I have had them for at least 3 years but I have, finally, done it

Loved the photo story Valli - sounds very much like me in a lot of ways.

    Just back in.

In the end I bathed instead of showering as you dont have to stand up to bath and I really didnt have the energy  then walked into town with DS and DD just the fresh air. Of course it was lovely when we went out and raining when we got back. At least I now I have a few ideas for DS for Chrimbo and a dozen more for DD .

Think I'll go get a cuppa now and start thinking about tea. Think I might have to use some of the beef DH got for our friends to try at £28 . To cook it any more would ruin it so it looks like cold meat and chips with pickles ........ hungry now too

    ETA Well done Valli
