carlberggal yes if she has less than 15 weeks to go or less I remember that from when my sister was expecting & job hunting http://www.babycentre.co.uk/pregnancy/work/tellingemployer/ she won't need loads of scans etc so I wouldn't woorry too much about it
Oh dear, not even touched the surface today. Feel really tired & about all I have managed is 3 loads of laundry (one left to go in TD), dishwasher load (should be done soon) and made meals (apart from kids tea). I've also made a start on the next years finances, I need it finished so I can work out what I have for Xmas spends as we have no savings left this years trickier than it has been for a while. See that's all I have done & I am sat here yawning
I have however managed to wriggle out (so far) from going to DPs club tomorrow, DS2 doesn't want to race so we are going to stay here and do his room. Best go finish kids tea, will try to pop back later xOne day I might be more organised...........

My green house has been wonderful all summer grown loads in it, still have peppers growing.
I have some large sheets of plastic up at the office tomorrow I am going to wrap the green house up in it and gaffer tape it all round and over it, if that makes sense to keep it safe over the winter, I love my greenhouse, pathic as it may seem, and I want it to be safe.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Penelope_Penguin wrote: »Oooh, A'n'W's mum - I'd forgotten that you worked in a bank :j Can you answer a Q for me, please
I'm treasurer of my W's football team. Today DH was given a cheque that had been through the wash  What's my chance of the bank accepting it
TIA :A Penny. x
A while ago I had a cheque in the post (for over £100) I'd opened it, put it back in the envelope to sort out a bit later and left it with some other post. My lovely DH decided to throw the post thinking it was all junk and had thought I'd put the cheque somewhere else.
A few hours later I was in a mad panic looking for the cheque! There sitting in the bin was the envelope ripped up... with the cheque inside:eek:
I had to explain to the bank what had happened (all DH's fault of course;)) and luckily they accepted the cheque (stuck together with tape:rotfl:) I did have to write a note with it though.
It doesn't look like I'll be getting my fifth star this week
But I have been busy doing bits and bobs (did put boobs but luckily I realised before I submitted post:o:eek::rotfl:)
Hugs if you need them and I hope to see you all in next week's thread:DBLOWINGBUBBLES:kisses2: SMARTIE120 -
For those of you with loads of change to ....erm, change then if anyone you know has a HSBC account then they have branches with Coinstar style change machines and the money is converted stright into your account and there is no charge or percentage taken.;):D
DD1 has an account with them so I use her card and then withdraw the money afterwards.

I'm impressed... it's obviously been a day for getting the little irritating things sorted. And I'm glad you've been to the market rather than the supermarket
LOL at that - when I lived closer to town (and had a buggy to sling things on and no car) I did, in effect, use the market as my local shop!
Even after we moved here I used to use the market and schlep it all home on the bus with two small kids - DS made the entire bus GASP with horror when he threw a bag onto the bus once - after they all heard me say 'there are EGGS in that bag' (none broke!). So I am going to use the market again for fruit and veg, it's cheaper and they are better quality and the eggs are local. Only thing is I no longer need to go into town on a Saturday morning as DD has changed dancing school so I shall plan my trips carefully...
I have also remembered that, every year I promise we'll have an advent candle. Well we will this year because I have remembered to buy one:T
Next thing is to investigate butchers...
Oh and you'll all be VERY proud of me. I have had to use the TD today so I made sure I hit the shed before it stoppped and a bit of judicious folding means I DON'T NEED TO IRON DS'S SCHOOL TROUSERS. I have, of course, ironed the sheets and pillowcases. I do like them smooth. And the shirts...

Right.. christmas help needed!
DS3.. nearly 11, likes 'spacey' things.. i.e. geeky stuff not like astrology stuff.. needs a few medium sized averagely priced stuff.. got him a skateboard and some games etc.if you can stand the mess what about some of the 'experiment' type things where you make your own green gunge etc or you can get kits to make your own electronic cars, clocks, cameras, radios (all things that work) my nephew had them at 10 nd loved them- he also loved Bionicle figures(less than £10)or the grow your own Triops science kits - walkie talkies, scalextric, remote controlled something (car, 4x4, plane) - in the argos book there is lego star wars vehicles/crafts like anakin's y-wing starfighter 49.99, a star wars pirate tank 29.99 and a shuttle 29.99 also bionicle machines at 29.99 and 49.99 pirate
what about construction things generally
DS2.. almost 14, dev. delay of about 2 years.. also likes geeky stuff..as above... addicted to pc/console games.. I am thinking Warcraft annual subscription.. but..well.. I dunno.. he needs a substantial sized rather cheap 'thing' .. I am getting him new PC speakers too. what about the star wars games for the pc, remote controlled R2D2 or any of the abiove things
Tiddles.. 5 (on Wednesday).. she likes zebras, dressing up, needs 3-4 medium things and several small items... HELP!!!
pretty girlie knickers and frilly socks, her own baking set, a zoo, tiara , dressing up shoes (asda had a box of 6 different plastic ones), disney princess jigsaws, vtech child's digital camera, vtech pink notebook laptop 39.99, dance mat, snow globe, canopy for her bed, drawing things, jewellery box
AND.. I need some skates for the Meems birthday on the 19th... any ideas where are best bargains?Peace will be mine
could do better - must try harder
