Hi all just a quick drop in to read the lists to see what else I need to work on!
I had a mad moment this morning, I decided I wanted to move a piece of furniture this morning, so got DH to help me, it didn't go where I wanted it to go so we ended up moving the whole room round, (including, tv xbox, pc all those wires, DH not so pleased then) its now all lovely cosy cleaned properly, decluttered. But the piece of furniture I wanted moved, has ended up back where I started!! Ooops. Oh well, we have guests coming to stay tomorrow really needed to be doing the whole house not rearranging 1 room.
Right of to drop DH at train station then coming back to do more flying.
Hope all ok.0 -
I've been to sorting office, waitrose, lunch and the library plus a few shops. Also got 4 kilner type jars from the little hardware/everything shop for £2.50 each so choc spread (sainsburys mag has a recipe) and nigella's chilli jam will go in those for prezzies. Wm is on, first of 2 or 3 loads today I think.
greenbee - thanks for the offer, I think I'll go for the debenhams one, I can't see one on littlewoods without a brand name on (he hates anything with a name on, can just about cope with his berghaus jacket!)
DH is playing the bl**dy stupid ps3 game again, it's driving me mad - the noise of the game and him getting annoyed with it! ah, he's just come in and made me an offer I can't refuse.....and promised to help me tidy & clean laterMum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
p.s - no sign of my Thorntons order yet, as in no word from FIL...tracking says 'out for delivery with courier'. Will be just my luck that they were out!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0

Hi all, I'm still in bed resting
, really did feel awful yesterday so just going with the flow.
Rightio in a bit I'll get up and take stock of;
the stuff I need to ebay
the pressies gthat I've got
get wrapping paper and stuff down from loft.
get diary and fill in important dates like warmfront appointment and occ health appointment
think about tea
think about some sort of shopping list
My main aim is to get rid of my ebay stuff really as its been sitting like a monkey on my back for eons.
Hugs to Diva, sounds like you're having a day of it.
I resisted the thorntons choc offer, we seem to get loads of choc at christmas and still have it months later so I've been good.
Right off to get dressed aand think about what I need to do.
Oooh forgot to mention got my new CC today so need to balance transfer my debt.
Does anyone know where I can get a decent ie sturdy pan stand? Most seem quite flimsy and I need to put my cast iron on it.:DDFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

Rach - mine hasnt arrived either and no signs of a missed delivery. The courier for mine is one of those where it is distributed by local agent in the back of a car so not guaranteed to be today.
DH is using his new woodworking equipment in the DR as there is no room in the garage. The less said on that subject the better. At least he has his present and I just need to get him something little from the boys.
Triker I agree re chocolate but my order is for presents for other people and I plan to wrap it asap so I don't get tempted.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -

Triker.. all my Thorntons stuff is for pressies too.. Mainly for the children though.. and a hamper for DD2.. they don't appear to do the huge chocolate santas they had last year which she specificaly asked for on her christmas list.. I did buy myself a bag of vanilla fudge though..
I don't actually like their chocolate so it is all quite safe.
Right.. christmas help needed!
DS3.. nearly 11, likes 'spacey' things.. i.e. geeky stuff not like astrology stuff.. needs a few medium sized averagely priced stuff.. got him a skateboard and some games etc.
DS2.. almost 14, dev. delay of about 2 years.. also likes geeky stuff..as above... addicted to pc/console games.. I am thinking Warcraft annual subscription.. but..well.. I dunno.. he needs a substantial sized rather cheap 'thing' .. I am getting him new PC speakers too.
Tiddles.. 5 (on Wednesday).. she likes zebras, dressing up, needs 3-4 medium things and several small items... HELP!!!
AND.. I need some skates for the Meems birthday on the 19th... any ideas where are best bargains?LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

I've been shopping, and got my dad's present, spoken to my SiL and been to the sugarcraft place to spend my voucher from work. I now have snowflake cutters and lots of pretty coloured sugar paste, but still need to do an online order for some of the more difficult colours (the local place only stocks regalice) plus a whole lot of boards in various shapes and sizes.
Weather is vile and AF has kindly arrived this afternoon (about 2 weeks overdue, but I'm not complaining about that!), so all I want to do is curl up on the sofa with a DVD. But I might do a bit of flying first, as I'll just get depressed about the state of the house if I don't.
Didn't get to the dry-cleaner, as some idiot was trying to reverse out of the carpark on to the main road rather than turning round, completely blocking the carpark, so I gave up. I'll go in tomorrow and do a few other bits too.
Off to see whether I can get anything done...0 -
A big hug sent to Diva and L-L on a day like this
My day has been good with 3 rooms completed from the list - manageable day tomorrow. Misley all day here however I like this kind of light today. Told mum when she rang how much better I feel about things now and am happy to be single now! Turned the corner indeed.
Just watching the rugby with a cuppa and a muffin (nice!) after returning from the dog walk in the mist and rain.
Just waiting for the TD to finish now and then get ready for pie and veg for tea - yum with Merlin/Strictly/X Factor.
