Woo Hoo, one more and you are in line with me, mind mine are only small glasses and as I am drinking out a box its hard to tell how much I have consumed :eek:macpep1 the shape Dsd2 is she would also look ill at size 8, her frames too big, but the stupid woman just wants all her bridesmaids to match.
That is a terrible way to think, my DD is really skinny but is never done eating but even if she piled on the weight I would never ever ever give her a complex about her body, I been there and got the T shirt and I have accepted I will never be comfortable with my weight but your DSD2 sounds like she has her head screwed on the right way, good on her :Trosepink1984 wrote: »Well, I've not really done anything, the kitchen looks like a bombs gone off and I need to find out what that bad smell is but just can't be bothered to do anything.
Today, I've:
gone out with DH
slept
sewn up half of cushion cover
listed ebay items
and that's it! Terrible!
As my old Nana used to say, the house will be there when you're not (BUT that was before the MSE Flyladies came about :rotfl:):TGratitude is the best Attitude :T

Grateful he hasn't married me yet ( probably because she put him off for life
). She's very caught up on material things. The last time i spoke to her she told me that i needed to buy Dsd2 some new bras, she couldn't because she had to finish paying off her new very expensive furniture. Almost as bad as my ex who stopped paying me maintainence because he had to pay for his holiday to Bali, he restarted it a couple of months ago when he got back and has now stopped it because his Dad has died.

Hmmm I'm just about to do a long reply but one of the cats has come in and has a mouse. I have cordoned us both off in the kitchen.
Wish me luck, I may be some time....I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

I hate to admit it but, I used to be very materialisticbut a few major things happened in my life which made me look at my life in a different way, if I have a roof over my head and food in my cupboard (freezer) thats all that matters and do you know what, it has made my life so much less stressful and I am a better person for it. I will alway put my children first, I would sell the shirt off my back to get my DD or DS something they urgently needed before getting "expensive" furniture as I have saw both sides of the coin I hope she will see the error of her ways , Every night my DS (2) asks me if we can go a walk in the woods how cute is that ?? Unfortunately I don't have wellies  or I would go

Actually, the mouse incident was easier to deal with than I thought. I have some Whiskas treats in the kitchen. Waved a couple of those in her nose, she dropped the remains of the mouse, I despatched them to the bin. I will do the antiseptic/anti bac stuff in a moment.
Greenbee, as you said to me WRT to ankles, tubigrip is not the way to go.... a firmly wrapped crepe bandage is much better...greenbee - i think this is the kind of thing... this one might even do! I'll have to measure his current one and see if it's a similar size.
Rach, I actually have something similar to that in the cupboard under the stairs. It has the initials NM on it !Penelope_Penguin wrote: »please behave and don't drink too much
Penny. x
Why not?
Carlsberggal - big hugs love, but I bet it's a real relief that you now know her decision. I personally think it's the right one for reasons I won't go into here but enough to say, you WILL all cope, even if you don't think you will right now xx And if Nana is too hard, what about Granny?
Thanks for the forgiveness Dusty and everyone
Mudders - you old softy! Wearing the patch your kids made then swopping it once you're out of sight! Mind you, I bet they do the same with their clothes!
Gratefulfor - hope you feel better soon
Triker, just like Greenbee, I have a le Creuset one. I was really lucky to find it in the sales about 8 years ago, complete with saucepans for an extraordinarily reasonable price!
Sexym - glad you're feeling better this evening.
Valli - well done on finally getting the photos framed. I have a little bit of wall in my living room which has v. small pictures of family back to great grandfathers and great grandmothers (and beyond) on it. It's not prominent but it's there when you look rather than glance. And I do have a quick chat with them occasionally...
Kazm - visualising protective shields around your green house so it stays safe
Re loose change - I've said this before and I'll say it again. I offload mine on the local corner shop. They are really pleased to receive it because it saves them having to pay for it at the bank!
Blimey Valli - what is it you hate about DS so that you'll actually ~cough~ not iron his trousers, but you'll still do the sheets? Can't compute...:p
Hollyh - that's appalling of your OH's ex
I haven't flown really today but I have done bits and pieces. I have also foraged for food. I'm fretting because I may actually have to use the tumble dry tomorrow because the weather is so, well, wet!I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Soappie I can sympathise, I am allergic to all animal hair which pains me but I took a stray cat in about 10 years ago, she is approx 15 in January according to vets dental exam
The council rat man asked me if they could take her out with him as we had an old bus depot at the rear of our house which was unused and then they moved the cabins, there was obv rats and nests there so I went through a rather unpleasant time with that, won't go into too much detail, am sure you can all imagine, she has also brought me other things but again TMI apparantly cats Never go after rats or anything bigger, my pepper must be the exception to the rule  I told the man NO that she was a house pet and would not put her in danger, I hate the fact that she catches lots of things and sometimes leaves me horrible things or bits of on the doorstep but its in their nature isn't it so not a lot I can do about that
ETA: am on my 4th or 5th glasshave you caught up fedup??

It wasn't the first mouse and it won't be the last.... there was a hilarious situation a couple of years ago when the mouse was still alive - my DS was still living here and we'd cordoned off the kitchen (they always take them there!). The mouse ended up running up DS's trousers and I had to tell him to drop 'em. He was not best pleased to drop his trousers in front of him Mum, but he did it! :rotfl:I did have to complain though. It was 11.30am and there was dirty night wear on her floor and bedding and the curtains were still shut..
That's not good Boddy - I hope your complaint was taken seriously.... However old your Mum is and whatever her state of mind, she still deserves to be treated with dignity. Big hugs to you and to her.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
