Yes, smarts doesn't it ? Harder with nippers in tow as well, although I always let me daughter get a treat from the supermarket to take with her, which is always a damn site cheaper :)

The kiddies popcorn was for me :rotfl: !! I do like cinema popcorn, but sometimes I'll buy a treat from the supermarket!! The friend I went with bought a tube of pringles & water - around £4 something for both

I hate paying for popcorn in the cinema though I love popcorn and homemade just doesn't come out the same at all. I'm not a huge fan of that Butterkist stuff either from the supermarket.

I can eat absolutely loads of popcorn as well. The other day when I went to the cinema I got a large popcorn to share. It cost £3.50 (or £3.70, can't remember now) but with that size you get a FREE refill. So it works out at under a quid if you share that with 3 friends. That's not too bad then. :)

Tropical Fish when they die so quickly! I know not an essential item, but we buy one new fish for our tank every month. Bought an Angel Fish on Sunday for £4.95 and it died in an hour or two! So we put it in the freezer and took it back for a new, live one.

Customer: "I wish to complain about this angel fish what I purchased not half an hour ago from this very boutique..."

    Sorry, couldn't resist :D

Ha ha well rightly so...they probably fished us out a dudd one in the first place! Wanted a crab but the had sold out. More entertaining & cheaper = better value for money & a savvy DFW!!

I hoped you warned your OH about the dead angel fish in the freezer. Can you imagine...oh, darling, you've bought a nice bit of sushi as a treat!

Isn't Nemo an angelfish? Thank God no kids will have found it then! Try explaining that!

"Mummy, I just found Nemo - he's inside the freezer!"

Nemo is a clown fish...and they live in saltwater tanks which are much harder to keep. Good ole tropical fish can live in warm tap water! Yeah could imagine that would be disturbing...my old cat died the other day and when we picked her up from the vet she had been in the freezer! That would be even more traumatic for a child!

Ha ha yes I told him to put it in there! Must check if he has taken it back actually, I don't want to for get it is there and have a fright at a later date!

Not surprising as it is mostly air! I heard the other day that you can eat that environmentally friendly corn based 'wotsit' shaped packing material!

You can, just sprinkle it in salt and melted butter and you won't know the difference! :p

I resent expensive essential things, that through pure bad luck you have to buy before you should have had to. I also resent being asked to pick things up on the way home, ruins my runs of no spend days.
