HIya That's what we've done with the last interest free credit card we had but we've only had this credit card two weeks and i've tried to do this twice but it's not working. I don't know if it's because there is already a direct debit to take the minimum payment out. The card is actually in hubby's name so am going to get him to phone up tonight and try to sort it out. Mind you, he might not be to forthcoming as i've just sent him to rejoin costco which means there's lasagne, curry, bolonaise, shepherd's pie etc to cook, and he's the cook! hehe!January budget

I like spending, but within reason. I get annoyed my OH getting a taxi to the nursey which is only 15 minutes walk away cos she can't be bothered getting up that extra 15 minutes or if she does she still runs late and calls the taxi, the more annoying thing is that she gets out at the nursery to then catch a bus to work!! Then she moans when she does very little excercise and starts putting the weight on, getta grip just do 15mins walking each way to the nursey and eveything will be right!"I AM THE GATEKEEPER OF MY OWN DESTINY" Nacho Libre

I don't so much hate spending money, its just how much things cost!! Especially things like chicken and mince! And yes indeed I agree with the price of sanitary products, its not fair to pay for something when we can't stop it happening (unless you go on the pill and don't take many breaks!). Grrrr!0

Anything! Here's how tight I've become...
I bought some BOGOF pizzas, they worked out a pound each, and I put them in the freezer. OH asks 'what's for tea?' and I gleefully tell him about BOGOF pizzas in freezer. He reappears with said pizzas, and I ask, rather peeved, 'Oh, do we need one each?'
Next evening, he asks 'what's for tea - or are we saving even more money by not eating?' :rotfl:Official DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0 -

Right, i've just phoned my bank and they've set up the option to pay extra for me. Watch this space....i'm going to really enjoy each extra £10 I pay off now as it's sure to annoy Barclaycard!January budget

Anything at the moment but sure the novelty will wear off soon. Tax, NI & council tax are the worst though - could pay of CC in months if I didnt have them!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0

I got a couple of fivers through to pay it from my current account internet banking. Barclaycard told me the only way to get the extra payments through was to go to the bank with cash. I was like, do me a favour, you are effectivley refusing my payments as you want me to get into more debt with you arnt you, she was like errrr. short answer was clearly yes. I was mad as a erm, fish when I got off the phone to them last week. I just DONt thinkk they sohuld be able to get away with this really, I dont. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

Quincifer- go for turkey instead, and use soya mince to bulk mince out, or choose soya mince indefinately, so much better for you- and your wallet!! Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

I resent buying any food which is in a 'packet' (I don't include tinned tomatoes or beans in that...or spices).
I also feel physical pain if I have to buy a bottle of water anywhere.
I also want to scream if public transport is so CR @ P that I have to spend on a taxi.
I'm also getting a bit wound up at work because they insist on having the air conditioning on all the time so in the height of Summer I will need to buy a cardigan (I have none suitable for work) or jacket. Why don't they just turn it off for a while and save some energy for God's sake!
Last but not least, I now really resent having to spend money on days or nights out that are kind of 'forced' on you...you know like you're expected to be there or you're letting the side down.
Do you know what? I am in a right old grump tonight! I think it was the leaving collection that came around today which wiped out all my last bit of cash. Yet ANOTHER bloody collection. They also **** me off at the moment.....
