HBOS online banking-can't login ?

Oh I am glad I asked now.
I didn't realise it was affecting ATM and debit card purchases too.

Thanks folks, I've just been saved the mortification of having a declined card when I do the weekly shop today.

I was just bigging up the HBOS online system the other day too - spoke too soon.

One of my friends who works in a branch has just put on her facebook status - '♥ 's major system failures in work....standing there on a Saturday morning not being able to do anything & looking totally useless....splendid xxx'.

The fact that she logged on to Facebook etc in work is another issue altogether! lol

What time did it go down then. I took some money out of an ATM at 7:30pm last night and was ok then, and checked my online banking about 1am this morning

Was able to use a Halifax debit card for shopping this morning - and get cashback. Not tried the ATM

All of the Halifax systems are down due to a power cut at their main datacentre internal systems, online, cards, atm's etc is down so if you have an alternative account with anyone else use that to save embarrasment shopping buying petrol. For online users try again in a few hours no definate timescales at the moment.

Comyface- I think your friend must have logged onto facebook on her phone as cant access facebook on work pc's. Can only get access to certain websites facebook, hotmail etc No No.

Yep, it was via 'Facebook for blackberry' apparently. Must have time on her hands, not being able to do anything else! :rolleyes:

No ATMs working round here, all halifax branches closed - rang and apparently all should be fixed by 3pm.

Card declined in different ATMS. Went into Branch. All systems are down are they cannot access your bank account but they are letting you draw a small amount on a 'trust basis'. We got £30 but fortunately we have an unused current account with Natwest so are able to use that.

Had to transfer some of our Natwest savings to our Natwest current account.

Glad we do not keep all of our money in 1 bank!

Am panicking over the Halifax though as I have just been paid on Friday and all of my wages are currently stuck in there!!
