One wedding my mum went to, the bride walked into Tina Turner's "Simply the Best"! Apparently everyone fell about laughing because it was just soooooo apt.
If that's the same wedding I was at, what she went out to was equally entertaining! Unfortunately brain like a sieve, can't remember what it was! Very 'Anglican' friend with me had never been to a wedding like it!

We had the same music for my entrance and us leaving, I think for the signing the registers they just played some other classical wedding music, but like someone else said it's all such a blur I could only tell you if I watch the video!!!

I was so pale and shaky the registrar had to ask me if I was OK - I think everyone thought I was going to faint or something...

For our first dance, after much deliberation, we had Aerosmith "Dont want to miss a thing", although Dido "Thank you" was second choice!

I just pop in now and then.... :)

We had Trumpet Voluntary by Purcell, as we got married 2 months after Charles & Diana and that's what she had, (Good enough for her, good enough for me!)
Signing the register we had "Three times a lady" which was our song and "You are the sunshine of my life".
How aboout "Isn't she lovely?" by Stevie Wonder! :)

    I've been Money Tipped!
I walked in to Pachelbels Canon in D too...know a few string players I arranged for it to be "live" as I walked in. However the cellist was only 11 and looked up to see me when I walked in...he made a boo boo, bless him(not that I noticed, getting married and all!). He still reminds me of it now that he's 17

Walked out to Jesu joy of mans desiring...but you can't have that in a civil ceremony as it's a religious tune.

Had a friend walk in to "I'm kissing you" by Desree, another dance out to Shiny happy people and yes, I have experienced the bride walking in to "Isn't she lovely"...we all laughed with her.

Best advice is to get hold of a specific wedding CD...wedding magazines sometimes give them away. Alternatively Woolies should have a few floating around!

  • Hi

We had a wonderful civil wedding and I walked in using "our Wedding Day" track 12 on Michael Flatleys Lord of the Dance album (1996 Unicorn Entertainment, 5337572 code)

    Vocal by Anne Buckley?

Tells a story of a maiden going to her wedding and the depth of her love

ohh Im all choked up already.... its just angelic!

have a wonderful day and life together. xxx

For a first dance, I would love to have Barry White's song with the lyrics "you're my first, my last, my everything" (or whatever, but you get the picture!). Sadly, boyfriend - not yet fiance, but I'll let you know when it does happen - has vetoed it because it's from Four Weddings and a Funeral. Apparently I'm not allowed anything that would lead me to thinking about Hugh Grant! Typical.

Suppose you could also have that song at a civil ceremony.
