why dont you pick out something that when you walk into the registers office to meet your groom that the other people will say yes that so fitting ... i was marrying a english man so when i walked in i wanted my guests to see me as a scottish person not that they didnt already know that .. i walked into amazing grace to a lone piper amazing grace was my mums fav song and she died less than a yr later so its lovely to hear now.. we walked out to not music but the church bells which were played beautifully .
went to friends wedding who were both big football fans and when they walked out they had playing the tune from match of the day... be individual so you will remember it allThose we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear
Our thoughts are ever with you,Though you have passed away. And those who loved you dearly,
Are thinking of you today.0 -
STOP THE PRESS!!
One song I always think is so perfect to walk out to and kind of wished we'd had was "I got you babe" by Sonny and Cher. For my Wife to walk in to she chose the music to the Sarah Brightman and Andrea Botchelli "Conte Partira" (bizarre considering it's Italian for "Time To Say Goodbye") but it was only the music and the opening sequence is so b-e-a-utiful.
Well that's my bit.

One wedding my mum went to, the bride walked into Tina Turner's "Simply the Best"! Apparently everyone fell about laughing because it was just soooooo apt.
A wedding that I went to last summer had "To the End" by Blur as their first dance. That could cover the Indie aspect, it's quite a sweet song - if you don't mind Damon Albarn being at your wedding!Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0 -
Hi Jess
Well, my daughter walked down the aisle to Pachelbel's Canon in 1993. Hearing that still brings tears to my eyes.
For my wedding (3 years ago come the 14th) I got a CD from the confetti site - 'Love Divine - music for church weddings'. There's also another CD for civil ceremonies.
I walked down the aisle to Purcell's 'Trumpet tune in D' and we walked back again to the 'Trumpet Voluntary'
Good luck!

Thanks for the suggestions, my Mum did suggest 'Simply the Best' but she is bias!!
We are going to have a look through our CD's tomorrow and see if we can come up with something. There are loads of songs we like but when you listen to the words they are just not saying the right thing.
I doubt anyone will notice what music we are playing so I don't know why we are fretting about it!!0 -
Hi Jess
We're having Savage Garden's Truly Madle Deeply at our wedding.
The lyrics are lovely
I'll be your dream
I'll be your wish
I'll be your fantasy.
I'll be your hope
I'll be your love
Be everything that you need.
I love you more with every breath
Truly madly deeply do..
I will be strong I will be faithful
'Cos I'm counting on a new beginning.
A reason for living.
A deeper meaning.
Chorus
I want to stand with you on a mountain.
I want to bathe with you in the sea.
I want to lay like this forever.
Until the sky falls down on me...
Verse 2
And when the stars are shining brightly
In the velvet sky,
I'll make a wish
Send it to heaven
Then make you want to cry..
The tears of joy
For all the pleasure and the certainty.
That we're surrounded
By the comfort and protection of..
The highest power.
In lonely hours.
The tears devour you..
I want to stand with you on a mountain,
I want to bathe with you in the sea.
I want to lay like this forever,
Until the sky falls down on me...
Bridge
Oh can't you see it baby?
You don't have to close your eyes
'Cos it's standing right before you.
All that you need will surely come...
I'll be your dream
I'll be your wish
I'll be your fantasy.
I'll be your hope
I'll be your love
Be everything that you need.
I'll love you more with every breath
Truly madly deeply do...
Chorus
Sniff ...sob.....;D ;D ;D
It means a lot to usJust run, run and keep on running!0 -

Sob, sob. I want to get married too. I'd forgotten how lovely those words are.Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0 -
Congrats! We had Trumpet Voluntary by Purcell at our marriage. Quite a classy piece. As other people have said, it all goes so quickly that they could be playing something by the Cheeky Girls and you wouldn't notice (slight exaggeration but you get my point!)
