As far as I know there isn't one. However, this isn't "excellent" customer service and only 30 days to claim is still applicable to most existing contracts with this dealer as opposed to the other main ones who changed to 60 days months (if not a year) before this one was dragged kicking (two legs) and screaming to conform.0

I agree which is why I thanked the OP for posting and I am pleased that all seems well.
I just don't see it as anything out of the ordinary.
If the Op was running for a Bus that they thought was 2.30 and got to the stop to find out it left at 2.15 as it should have done they would have missed the Bus.
If they got there at 2.30 and it wasn't due till 2.45 and was informed by the bus company of that fact they would have thanked them and got on the bus no harm done.
Either way I'm pleased the OP managed to get on the bus and lets all hope it's going to the right destination
gosh-aren't we getting into the realms of if my auntie had a doo-dah she would be my uncle, here.....
i love the way people are are prepared to make excuses for good customer service, as if it is a gimme and doesn't matter a toss in the scheme of things. (all hail phones4u? err, sorry. not on my part)
anyway, what would happen if the op had been rushing for the bus, whilst avidly chatting on his mobile, urgently needing a pee and arrives at the bustop at exactly the same time as the bus?0 -
My bus is never on time but I don't know what we are talking about now ..... :eek:0

The reason why i'm saying excellent service is that they let me know on the 30th day after my bill would of been dated, 30 of oct, instead of saying tough luck mate your 30 days are up so no cashback, instead they sent an email saying i had another 16 days. I understand i have 30 days to claim cashback and accept that, yet they were kind enough to give me more time.0

Don't disagree with you on many points you make, but you wrote " there is no way this dealer would honour it " The underlining is mine.
Now, if you had written "there is no way any dealer would honour it", then that would be balanced, but you implied that this was something unique to mobiles.co.uk and this is where you lose many of the forum members by appearing to carry out a vendetta against this company over and above anything balanced.
So, to continue the tale, remember that Ben - Ben Gunn that is - outsmarted Long John Silver in the end !;)0 -

As you can see I was pleased you posted and pleased you are still getting your cashback
However as I'm not a cashback expert and ever used it but follow some of the posts I need to understand a few things.
Are you saying that they are giving you 46 days instead of the 30 in which to submit ???
And why 16 days ???? it seems such an odd number why not 14 etc
Or is it a case of the bill issue date was something like the 16th and so they told you on the 30th that you had 16 days left to get it in ???? (it possibly might explain why the Sept bill still hadn't updated to Oct when you pulled it offline because you were a few weeks in front )
I'm sure you will realise the importance of this because it would possibly give hope to those who do similar and get knocked back on the 31st day etcIt's not just about the money0 -
Hi, just wanted to update that i got the cashback cheque today, off to bank it in a min.
Why 16 days no idea, but dont care why really long as it gave me time to send in correct billl as i stupidly sent it in to quick originally and sent the wrong one in, what a do-nut. But all sorted.0 -
I don't think your a do-nut .....far from it because you were ahead of time which gave you chance to send in the correct one.:cool:ilovemydebts wrote: »Hi, just wanted to update that i got the cashback cheque today, off to bank it in a min.
