Good to see they're acknowledging the issue with the virtual card.
I received my physical card from them a few days ago, will try booking a flight in the next seat sale and see if it works :-)0 -
The only thing stopping me ordering the Net+ card (as a "low user" Ryanair customer) are the £10 cancellation fee and £10 card replacement fee - which seems to me at least as bad as having an upfront account set-up fee (as on card expiry you thus have the choice to cancel the card and pay £10 or pay £10 for a replacement card, repeating the fee process when the second card expires).
Of course I may be missing something obvious.0 -

I think you are missing the fact that "cancellation and replacement" and "expiry and renewal" are not the same thing
I have compiled a summery of cancellation and expiry terms and conditions from Neteller. Can't post link, as new users prevented from doing thisCancellation
10.5 If Your Card is reported lost or stolen We will cancel it and may issue a new one. A fee may apply (See Fees Summary).
13.1 We may change these Terms and Conditions from time to time. All changes to these Terms and Conditions will be posted on the Website and You agree to be bound by the current version of these Terms and Conditions as displayed on the Website. If You are significantly disadvantaged by any such change You may cancel Your Card or Your Virtual Card in accordance with Our cancellation policy (see section 14). In such circumstances You will not be charged a cancellation fee and You will not be subject to the relevant change during the period between the relevant change being made by Us and Your cancellation of Your Card or Virtual Card.
14. CANCELLATION, TERMINATION AND SUSPENSION
14.1 You may cancel Your Card or Your Virtual Card if You have not activated it, or within 14 days from the date of activation, without penalty. You may cancel Your Card or Your Virtual Card at any time after the 14 day period however a cancellation fee will apply (see Fees Summary). To cancel Your Card or Your Virtual Card You must notify Customer Services and return all Card(s) issued, cut in half. You will be responsible for any Transaction You have made or charges incurred before You cancelled Your Card or Your Virtual Card. Once We have been notified by You and, if applicable, received Your Card(s) We will wait 45 days for all Transactions to be processed and then refund the remaining balance of money to Your Neteller Account.
14.2 We can terminate these Terms and Conditions with You if We give You 30 days’ notice and refund any remaining funds to Your Neteller Account.
14.3 We can suspend or terminate these Terms and Conditions with You and Your use of Your Card or Virtual Card immediately if You have not complied with these Terms and Conditions, or if We have reason to believe that You have used or intend to use the Card or Your Virtual Card in a negligent manner or for fraudulent or other unlawful purposes or if We can no longer process Your Transactions for any legal or security reason or due to actions of any third party.
14.4 We can suspend Your Card or Your Virtual Card at any time with immediate effect if (a) We discover that any information You have provided is incorrect or incomplete; or (b) if a Transaction has been declined because of lack of available value in Your Neteller Account.
14.5 If any Transaction, fee or charge is found to have been incurred on Your Card or on Your Virtual Card following cancellation or termination, You agree to pay all such sums to Us immediately on demand.
14.6 Cancellation by Us of Your Card or Your Virtual Card or termination by Us of these Terms and Conditions does not affect Your Neteller Account. Your Neteller Account is managed by Neteller and is subject to the terms and conditions relating to Your Neteller Account as agreed between You and Neteller.
18.4 You will remain responsible for complying with these Terms and Conditions until all Cards and/or Virtual Cards issued to Your Account are cancelled (in accordance with these Terms and Conditions) or have expired and all sums due under these terms and conditions have been paid in full.
Expiry
6. CARD AND VIRTUAL CARD EXPIRY / DAMAGE / REFUNDS
6.1 Your Card or Virtual Card is valid for the period stated on it, unless its use is terminated earlier by Us in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. Transactions will not be authorised once Your Card or Your Virtual Card expires.
6.2 We may renew Your Card or Your Virtual Card when it expires. If You ask, We may also replace a damaged Card. A Fee may apply (see Fees Summary).
6.3 If a new Card or Virtual Card has not been issued to You all funds (if any) held in Your Account will revert to Your Neteller Account.
6.4 If You receive a refund of goods and services on Your Card or Virtual Card, the refund will be paid to Your Neteller Account. Remember, Your Neteller Account may only be used in accordance with its terms and conditions of use as agreed between You and Neteller.

My Neteller+ card arrived today (not the virtual one)...does anyone know if this + card now works for Ryanair?
The first four digits of my card are 5415. When I mailed Neteller, they said that a very few retailers didn't accept their card- but to contact Ryanair directly if it didn't work.
Yes it works, just make sure and select prepaid mastercard and not mastercard from the list.0 -

You may well be correct, but I still see the T&C as ambiguous and open to interpretation favouring Neteller charging fees on card expiry (I'm a natural born skeptic).
(I won't repost the T&C as the relevant parts are in your post above)
14.1 My understanding is that a new card would automatically be issued on Net+ card expiry unless you cancel the card before it is issued - what stops Neteller classing the new card on expiry as a "replacement card", with £10 fee generated? (and if cancelling to avoid a renewal card being issued charging a £10 cancellation fee?)
I can see that 6.3 seems to mean that if Neteller choose not to issue a renewal card, there is no fee and the balance on the Net+ card returns to the Neteller account.
If there is indeed no fee when Net+ renewal cards are issued on expiry of an existing Net+ card, Neteller would surely have included this "free" fee in the fees table?0 -

I still think it comes down to:
Cancellation is not Expiry
Renewal is not Replacement
Replacement usually occurs after loss or damage, which may incur a fee.
Renewal happens after Expiry, which is usually free.
However, Neteller do not, as you say, include this in their list of Free Fees, which is ambiguous, and requires some clarification.

I received my physical Net+ prepaid card last week, just 4-5 days after requesting it.
I successfully used it to book a Ryanair flight last night. No card fees. Hurray :-)0 -
