MSE News: Ryanair to charge for Visa Electron bookings

I've given up with Neteller anyway - their ID requirements are very strict. I recently moved house and don't yet have many proofs of address, especially since some of my accounts are now paperless. I've sent them my passport, driving licence (with new address) and a credit card statement (although the address is only printed on the front sheet, which contains no other information). Unfortunately this is not enough for them.
I think I'll give the ICE card a try...Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
On a rotating plate, with spikes like Flash Gordon
And you're Peter Duncan; I gave you fair warning0 -
Thats really weird, I never had to give any ID at all for the Neteller card!0

Really? That's worrying...legally they are required to collect proof of ID/residency before they open an account, for the prevention of money laundering/fraud.
You're the second person i've read about who has had their account opened without having sent in their ID verification documents :-/0 -
They called me to verify I was who I said I was and also took my passport number. Which I guess is sufficent enough to them to know I am who I say I am.0

I definitely think the FairFX card in sterling is the best option for most Ryanair bargain hunters. The £7.50 cashback from Topcashback or Quidco will cover the 1.5% charge for £500 worth of flights and you can load it with as little as £10 a time.0

I hope that I will be able to beat the Ryanair debit card fees by using a new Pre paid Mastercard and raising some money for an excellent charity. Demelza Children's Hospice have launched their own pre-paid card. Costs compare very favourably with those recommended - no top up fee by debit card and only £2 for credit cards. Transaction fees 50p or £2 for cash withdrawals. Full details are on the website demelzacard.com
The charity helps children and their families in Kent, Sussex & SE London - more details demelza.org.uk
This looks like a true win win situation

I smell....SPAM!
Might be for a charity and all that, but we all know British charities often have 'professional' administrators behind them. From Poland...with love.
They are (they're) sitting on the floor.
Their books are lying on the floor.
The books are sitting just there on the floor.0 -

If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
I've ordered Neteller's Prepaid Card (not the Virtual one).
The website told e it could take 21 working days to arrive ... hope it's a bit faster than that0
