if a c.s desk person does that they could be sacked, at my local store i would hand it in, chances are my best mate is on the c.s desk (its also what i used to do for a living) or have a word with the self scan supervisor, as i used to work with most of them too.

store should take details of any lost/forgotten property i think it is logged for 60 days, i left in 2006 so i might be a bit out
