Whats the best deal Wanadoo/Orange has offered you to stay

I have called Orange today to close my account. I've been paying £14.99 but was billed £17.99 this month as the offer was only for six months. I asked them what's their best offer or else I'll leave. They offered me £12.99 and a month free that's for 8 MB connection but my area will only hold 2 MB. I have also a month free offer last year.
In fact I don't really want to leave as I've been happy with my connection with Wanadoo now Orange. I've never been had problem with them and don't want the hassle of moving to another company then losing internet connection and making numerous phone calls.

Good to see people are still saving with Orange/Wanadoo. Have just called up myself and they would only offer me another free month and wouldn't budge on the monthly fee (£14.99). Still pleased though as they gave me a free month a couple of months ago and it doesn't stop me trying exactly the same thing in a couple of months time....0

They also offered to put me on a £12.99 per month to stay which im more than happy with. This does not tie me into any contract so that is good also.If any of you need to reduce your price, do some research into what other isp's are offering and go to Orange to see if they can match or beat it!........Neil0

Remember when you call they will tell you they cannot reduce it/do anything. Just hold your guns and ask to be put through to get a code to leave - these are the guys that can do things then. Let us know how you get on0 -
I called Orange today.
I was on 1MB for £14.99 and said that there were other ISPs doing better offers. Within 10 seconds he offered me £12.99 for 1MB or £17.99 for 8MB.
He actually seemed very keen to give me a Mac code! I said I would have another look at other ISP and in the meantime would accept the 1MB offer.0 -
Im pretty satisfied with £12.99 per month for 1mb.If you think about it, its not much money- not even enough for a round of drinks these days!0

I've just played the Madasafish line with Orange - the cheapest Madasafish deal is currently 11.99 according to their site. Managed to negotiate down to the 11.99 rate with Orange. So it proves they'll go lower than the 12.99 if you push hard. I was actually after unlimited downloads and higher speed so ended up going for the Orange Broadband Max service.
A point of warning on this Max package - I asked whether I'd be tied into a new contract if I switched to the Max service. Something called a "6 month contract extension" suddenly cropped up. Pushed back and that was removed from the deal.0 -
Have been with Freeserve/Wanadoo/Orange for ever. For the past so long been paying 14.99 a month for 1/2 meg Broadband. All Bt says my line will stand.
Email from Orange today inviting me to view my account.
So I did (Dont bother usually) Up to 17.99 from now on.
On the phone
Answer ...It should have been 17.99 after a 6 month trial.
TRIAL..I have been with you for years
Sorry its 17.99
Can you give me a migration number and cancel my account please.
Please wait a minute......We can restore your 14.99 if you like
I like.
OK Done and for £20 we can upgrade you to 1 meg.
I can get 1 meg on my line now
Yes the line has been upgraded (I live in a little village miles from anywhere)
OK then I will migrate to someone else cheaper
Please wait a minute.....we will upgrade you and waive the £20 all for 14.99 a month.

It works....Its like bartering in Tunisia... Threaten to walk away and they reduce the price.0
