Just wanted to say Good luck with TTC OP. I am a mother of 4 children so have been through this scenario a few time LOL and yes in my opinion it is worth thinking about it all now, even if you dont actually do anything for a few months.
Its good to be organised
There are some lovely girly beds around and some of them are not too high, so still low to the ground so that if your dd does get out of bed, its not a long way down!
I fell pregnant with child 1 when i was 15 (wont go into details) child 2 i was on the pill, 3rd i was on the coil 4th was planned for about 2 years and when we started trying it took 6 months to fall pregnant! so i suggest do not plan oo much, just enjoy

Have you seen any online that I could look at as I'm having trouble finding a good height one.
What's yours is mine and what's mine is mine..0 -

We got the 'Princess' bed from Bensons - it's a junior bed so quite low and will need to be replaced probably in about 8/10 years, but at a cost of £99, I'm not complaining about that!:A kimmi_b0

Few to get you started
Hmmmmmmm wonder if my little boy would mind if i bought one of those LOL 0 -
This would be my fear. The cot-bed (after it's converted) will be fine until baby is about 5 years old. If you buy another bed before you have another child then you may end up with an extra bed and a reminder of heartache. Wait till the new baby actually arrives. Every kid is different and you may end up with a restless sleeper who needs the space (cot-bed), one who must be swaddled (moses basket) or a determined co-sleeper (your bed). You never know! What happens if you don't get pregnant?
Of course, I hope you do have another baby with no problems whatsoever and wish you as much joy as I have with my two. It's just that, personally, I would feel like I might be jinxing it to plan too much for something I can't control.0 -
I bought mine for £10 at a NCT nearly new sale, you dont need to be spending alot of money on something that gets little use.neneromanova wrote: »Thanks Greener Grass and Jackomdj.
I've been looking at moses baskets but they're like £50-£100, which would mean buying that, then buying a new bed. I think I agree with the putting her in a new bed a couple months earlier.:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -
We moved eldest into her own bed about 6 weeks before youngest was due, cot was flat packed in nursery, OH wondered why we couldn't just leave it up but I wanted eldest to get used to new bed rather than feel her cot was given to someone else, all worked out fine, apart from OH complaining about building cot again!
2 yearish age gap BTW0
