Fine - but surely your time would be better spent planning more relevent things than some arbitrary bed situation that may not even arise?

    Like what...?

Money? Space? Work? Time? Nursery? Other activites?

Surely as a parent, you don't need these things spelling out for you?

Surely the child is going to have to go from the cot to a bed transition sooner or later though no matter what the circumstances are

OP i did this with DD1 when i was pregnant with DD2 i was petrified and spent most of the night getting up to check on her (she was only 15months old at the time) never had a problem with it though :j She was fine it was just me that was worried :o:rotfl:

Of course they are, but if you've bought a "cot bed" then presumably you already have that base covered!

True, though to me the way i read it the sides were still on so it was still being used as a cot.

Both of mine were in proper beds by the time they were 2 and a half anyway and i have never used a cot bed so maybe im getting confused :o

Money = Sorted and saved thank you
Space = We live in a 3 Bed house
Work = I work from home running my own business
Time = I have just as much as anyone else with more than one kid
Nursery = I guess you mean "school nursery", DD already goes there
Other Activities = We go out and do many things thank you. Park, see nannys farm animals, walk into town, swimming.

So I think I've Got them sorted don't you? Now, in the words of Thumper... "If you don't have anything nice or helpful, don't say anything at all!"

I have been helpful. I've told you to wait until you are 7 months pregnant and then start thinking about such petty things. Whether you like it or not, it's the most common sense advice you'll get

You seem very agressive btw. Are you usually like this?

    Thats what i thought :)

I would buy a big girls bed and as long as you have the room for it have it set up and just let her get used to seeing it there, and see how she approaches the situation you may find that she wants to use it rather than having to use the baby thing to try and convince her, with both of my girls i used one of the tomy bed guards infact i still do with DD2 (3) not that she really needs it but it puts my mind at ease :o

With DD2 she asked to come out of her cot as she saw DD1 using her big girls bed and she wanted to do the same and as i said previously both of mine were out of cots and in big beds by the time they were 2 and a half :)

Only to people who are petty and not helpful. How is it right to wait til you're 7 months pregnant and then think of buying things?

Now back to the topic in hand please.
