And to an insurance company for a total loss within the first 12 months?

There are at least three examples here of new cars being cheaper on here now. Care to comment about that too?:D

But can you buy that car, they are hypothetical deals that you won't get,

However ther is the situation that a UK reg car at nearly new 2nd hand just could equal in value a uk reg new car

The insurance will value a preregistered car as New.

There is however the issue that a uk reg used car could just be worth more than an import at nearly new
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

    Matt and Don have.

You need to be the 1st name on the log book to get a new car, it it's a total loss within the 1st 12 months.

    Evening.

Yes, picking it up tomorrow. Brand new, about 2 or 3 weeks since it left the factory, delivered on transporter, no pre-reg, no delay with them holding the log book, to the spec I wanted, from a local dealer and 22%-ish cheaper than list price, and have been unable to find another new deal (or pre-reg for that matter) any cheaper. And, struggling to find a used one much cheaper either.

Plus I get the benefits of a decent part-ex deal and smooth transition on the finance.

    That clear enough?

Ok, so did anyone buy that car in cash, or did they get stitched with a finance deal that would cripple a healthy leaper, no offence to the leapers on here.

Cash talks, get yourself in a position where you can speak,

    1. ZETEC is the engine type not interior spec

    2. the new fiesta come with two engine types DURA-TEC and ZETEC.

if you bought a 1.2 new fiesta chances are its a ZETEC even though not labled on the boot. open bonnet and there it is labled on the rocker cover/engine cover. if you bought a 1.6 style you'll still be buying a zetec just with style interior as supposed to sport interior as you get with the ZETEC-S.

does it matter about mileage as the zetecs are built to last suffer very little from major mechanical failure and will serve you well
i still come accross the mk1/2 fiesta's with the kent cross flow engine that still run sweet. and the mk3's with the cvh engines, the zetecs are better and will probably out live the car (chasis and body wise) anyways.

Actually, cash price was pretty much same - I did ask, although never had any intention of paying cash. That was last month, with the £500 Ford contribution on the car (cash or finance). This month, they did a £450 contribution towards finance deposit instead. So, pretty similar.

I admit the dealer is probably much happier going the finance route. But, he was happy to go cash too.

Finance deal that would cripple a healthy leaper? I dont think so. When you get good deals on the cars base price, its not at all crippling.
