I'm having a second hand one. It doesn't matter who's farted in it first, all the ghosts of farters past will be blown out of the sunroof by OH (and me if I OD on veggies) It's like Trumpton round here :D

(Also, I am a poor student who will get her first car..I am DETERMINED!)

I do it all because I'm scared.

Having a quick nosey on there, it seems I have made the right decision as they are fairly pricey, and some of them havent got Bluetooth or 5 doors. Some even have done over 10k miles!

i don't doubt you have a good (in comparison) deal. but you must agree the price of these are high, don't get me wrong its a cracking looking car and i would consider this if i was in the market for a small car,but the price would need to be reduced drastically before i actually bought one.
your unfortunatly paying the premium for having the new model, give it a year or so and these will be rolling out the door with all the things you are paying extra for at the moment as standard with a much lower price tag that just now.

why does the history worry folk so much? as long as you do all the necessary check before buying nearly new or pre reg then i honestly don't see the problem.

how much history can a car have at less than a year old?

Go on then, point me to a preg reg Zetec with bluetooth for less than £10,100. Also, got a good part-ex value on mine and no hassle with moving finance.

You seem to forget that a pre registered car is a new car. We are taking used against new prices

Stop wasting your money, thats what this thread sarted out about.:money:
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed
  • Then maybe you didn't look hard enough, !!!!!! used cars are cheaper than new ones. If they aren't you are looking in the wrong place for a new car.
Are you sure you got that the right way round?

Personally I wouldn't be recommend getting a Mk6 (the previous model) Fiesta any more. The Mk7 models have been out for over a year now, so it's going to be high on impossible to get one that's only a year old and one very little milage, as there won't have been that many people buying Mk6 Fiestas this time last year.

Not least, people who just have a car to drive to the shops and back occasionally don't tend to buy a diesel, you buy diesels to do high milages, hence why low milage diesels are rare and you'll pay a premium for them, if you can find them at all.

I reckon you'd be better off looking for the likes of an '09 reg Mk7 Fiesta, there should be lots of ex-hire cars coming onto the market at the moment, they are usually a good bet as contrary to what many people think, they have usually been looked after and maintained well.

Yep, the only difference is that like second hand you just have the choice of what's there, you can't make your own to order. Just before the registrations change is a good time to get pre-reg cars. So expect some good deals on 59 models next February before the 10 registrations come in.
