When people do this to me, I rub their belly back, and make sure I really wobble the hand if there's flabby bits.:p

When people tell me I look big, I tell them they've got a few more grey hairs than last time or some similar comment.

It makes them realise that I'm still a person, not just a baby carrier.

It's DEFINITELY all worth it :j

I tried everything with my first - pineapple sex hot baths oil of eveing primrose walking, accupuncture and reflexology membrane sweeping, and eventually was induced but lets not talk about that. With my second I did nothing out of the ordinary and refused to be induced. She turned up 3 weeks "late" but beautiful and healthy. The hospital did insist on close monitering for the last week and were fairly anti my choice not to be induced but in the end I had a natural birth and a healthy mum and healthy baby. Have come to the conclusion that it must be nine cycles rather than nine months and I have a long cycle so I may be "late' by hospital dates but if you ask the 8 week old lying next to me, no doubt she'd say she arrive bang on time.

I know its hard, tiring, very very uncomfortable and i know I woudl have paid a lot of money to be put in to labour any time from 38 weeks but they may be a very good reason for you not to be starting off just yet. but if one more person had said to me "baby will come when baby is ready" i'm not sure what i woudl have done but it woudn't have been pretty.

Try searching for a website called 10 month mamas to reasure your self that you are not "late" which is a very negative thing to feel. Your body knows what it is doing and there is a lot to be said for the power of the mind and positive feelings towards labour. Use the extra time to stock up on all those positive feelings and GOOD LUCK.

HI, my first two were induced due to BP probs, so I never knew waht it was like to go over until the 3rd, ...tried everything that is noted for bringing it on and nothing worked, at 5 days over went for the ante natal check to be told that due to BP issues, I could not go home unti I delivered and that it had to be sooner rather than later - because there was no space in the delivery suite at that time I had to wait in ante natal clinic for a bit and started off naturally, - then Helana came a bit quicker than we were all expecting and got us in a bit of a panic, as I think she realised she might be missing something ...now have a 12 day old daughter,

so fingers crossed it happens soon for you (and that it is quick when it does)

Neither am i!!! To save my own blushes here i think i need to explain that I USED BIO OIL ON MY BOOBS DURING LATE PREGNANCY TO PREVENT STRETCHMARKS! It was then that i noticed that i had painful contractions for about an hour afterwards. Unfortunately my pregnant body did nothing for MrJudis sex drive and i had to apply it myself.:mad:

Just to let you all know, my wife gave birth to a beautiful boy on sunday evening at 5 to 5 after a very torrid time to say the least. Mind you I wasn't surprised she had problems,because he was 9 pound 3 ounces! Thanks to all of you for your help and im off to bed now for a kip:beer: :beer: :beer: :j :j :j :T :T :T
