bylromarha wrote:Bringing on labour...we have some friends in our church that have a reputation for it...everytime they see a heavily pregnant friend, the woman goes into labour within 2 days. My lad came a week early the night after they came for tea...:T They live in Banbury if you're anywhere close by?!
We rang these friends up Saturday night, then had sex...couldn't really call it hot sex when that pregnant;)
One of the 2 methods worked a treat tho as she popped out sunday morning:TWho made hogs and dogs and frogs?

not sure how this is supposed to work, it is the semen's direct action on your cervix that can induce labour, not digesting it :rotfl:
I suspect the midwife recieved a handsome tip from Mr Footprints though! :rotfl:
Throbbe Jr had to be induced after 2 weeks of following every suggestion people could throw at us (and I'm sure some of them were made up on the spot for a laugh!). Sometimes you just have to wait, but it's worth it.0 -
Currys didn't work for me either - I am convinced that Nandos Hot Peri Peri chicken did the trick when I was overdue..
Hope your little one doesn't keep you waiting too much longer!0 -
Babies will come when they are ready. I know how fustrating it can be ( I have 3). Every time I have tried allsorts from currys, walking, clary sage, warm baths, sex, drinking raspberry leaf tea to eating pineapple. My first came at 37wks and my labour was 6hrs from start to finish. My second was born by c-sect at 36wks.My third was born on her due date New Years Day!! As I said I tried all the above to get her moving but she was having none of it. I am convinced she was just waiting for her due date. My labour with her was about 5 hours, more painful than the first but worth every bit. I think when you are starting to get nearer to your due date others do have a laugh when you tell them what you've tried. My friend must have been laughing her socks off after telling me pineapple was supposed to work.Next time I spoke her told her it hadn't for me and I'd eaten cans of the stuff.
