  • Bath in Clary sage and reflexology. Have a look on google for the reflex points for the reproduction areas in the the body which are around the ankle. WARNING DO NOT do either of these if you have found out you are pregnant as the can cause miscarriage. It is only safe to do this if you are due for giving birth. I am a fully qualified holistic therapist, but obviously doing this is at your own risk having said that it works a treat with no problems- as a rule. I do know someone who found she was pregnant but didn't want to go through a termination so she used these methods and did miscarry the baby naturally.

Posted too late but well done and congratulations, now the fun starts lol

I heard that babies always look like their dad's when they're born so that the dad's can't deny responsibility lol. :rotfl:

Easier to copy and paste what i put on another forum i use yesterday than to type it all out again lol

As some of you know i started having mild contractions every 10minutes early hours of Saturday morning, they stopped around 3am Sunday morning. All of a sudden early yesterday afternoon they started again and they were so strong and intense it was unbelievable .
My OH phoned the hospital and they said because of how quick my labour was with Beth to call an ambulance At this stage i was starting to panic ever so slightly, more so when i got in the ambulance and they put the blue flashing lights on
Got to the hospital and they took me straight to the central delivery suite, who put me straight on the machine and did a CTG, took my blood pressure, tested my wee, did blood tests etc. They confirmed i was indeed in labour. They then called for the doctor to see me wasnt quite sure why they werent very forthcoming with information there doctor was there within minutes and ordered them to give me something to stop it i dont know what it was they gave me but it was in injection form
They then came back with the results of my wee and told me i had a water infection and have all also said that i have pre eclampsia (sp?).
They put me on antibiotics and gave me some codydramol for pain relief and they want me to be monitored at the fetal assessment unit 3 times a week from now on rather than the two i already have.
They gave me the choice whether to stay there or if i wanted to come home, i chose to come home coz i hate hospitals at the best of times. I eventually got home at 6am this morning.

I am absolutly exhausted, im still in a lot of pain and im covered in bruises where they were taking blood tests and giving me injections. Tbh i think im more shocked that i dont have my baby right now and they actually gave me something to stop it

Hasnt been the best of weekends im hoping this isnt the beginning of whats to come :(

    Oh essexhoney

Not the news I was waiting for.

But it sounds like they are taking good care of you, no point in going through labour if it risks your health, so long as your baby is doing fine. How many weeks are you, BTW?

In the meantime, rest and relax, no housework etc (you have a bona fide excuse girl, use it), got to keep that pre-eclamsia under control. Is there anyone to help look after Beth?

    Best wishes, thinking about you,
    Jays

nearly 35 weeks now, the thing that confused me the most is they did say a few weeks ago when they last scanned me that i could go anytime from 35 weeks as im carrying so much water so i was slightly shocked that they stopped it.

My OH has taken some time off work to get Kurt to school and help me out with Beth so its not to bad but it still doesnt make life easy :(

Thanks for your concern its much appreciated :)

    Hi essexhoney

35 weeks is a little too early if your baby is doing fine, my guess would be they will try to get you to at least 36 weeks before letting you go into labour if they can, 37 would be better.

Enjoy the rest before the storm, thinking about you.

    Jays
