I'd suggest you do your homework , firstly HDN has not been sold at all, secondly HDN (lets not even talk about who actually owns HDNL :) ) are aquiring DHL's uk wing which has not happened yet. When it does, both companies will still operate and run seperatly as they are for the forseeable.

DHL have there own network of depots, sort centres and workforce and delivery drivers so we do not work from the same depots at all !

May I ask where you get this false information from ?

HDNL is owned by Littlewoods Retail Limited, no big secret there.
DHL only sold the domestic parcel side of things, not the UK wing. They sold it in January, completed in March.:

That is over two months ago, so your own information is flawed

How convenient. An HDN thread. Have just had a card through the door from HDN saying they tried to deliver something. I could collect from the depot (hours drive away) but I would have to provide photo ID. The problem? The card doesn't say who the package is for, so how do we know whose ID to take (and who presumably if it has to be photo ID). Also, entering the reference number printed on the card into the HDN website says 'not recognised'. There is an automated service on an 0871 number, but no way to ring them up and talk to someone. :(:(:(

Ive got a problem. I ordered some clothes from River Island and they deliver using HDNL. I got it on express delivary cos I needed it for...last night. I bought it on Thursday about 10pm so saturday was more then reasonable. On the tracking page, it says it has been left in a secure location at the front of the property, but it isnt there. I have asked my neighbours and they hadnt had it at their houses. I checked to across the road to see if the driver went to #8 there instead of here, and none have seen it. What are my rights in this case? I will be phoning HDNL tommorow before work (conicidentally...for River island) and as much as i want to go in guns blazing I dont think it is the best approach.

    hold on,hold on
    you bought on Thursday 10pm
So the order was processed and shipped Friday
Saturday is not a standard working day for couriers,so i dont think Saturday is 'more than reasonable'
it could be a tracking error and its never been on delivery

I ordered something Thursday night from River Island as they were doing free express delivery that night and it arrived Saturday. It even said on the package it was sent Next Day Monday - Sat service.

which means they used a specific Saturday service over the standard next day service.Im not making this up,couriers i general are Mon to Fri operations with Saturday being a premium service
the OP wries as if there were days inbetween
