    Silk,

Personally identifying people is against the forum rules, please edit your post so I do not have to bother an MSE moderator (again).

Interpreting my (relatively meaningless) job title is fun for you I'm sure, but I'm beginning to become concerned about just how obsessed you are with me and us. You weren't even a customer of ours, your partner was, as I understand it.

If you think I'm here for damage limitation and nothing else then you have the wrong end of the stick. I'm here to spot problems with the company, help anyone affected and prevent future re-occurence. My actions do nothing but confirm this.

The company rep cant have read the CPW Groups 5 fundamental rules.
    1. If we don't look after the customer, someone else will.
    2. Nothing is gained by winning an argument but losing a customer.
    3. Always deliver what we promise. If in doubt, under promise and over deliver.
    4. Always treat customers as we ourselves would like to be treated.
    5. The reputation of the whole company is in the hands of each individual.
  • He has though - in a mirror.
  • From when the OP was made on the afternoon of the 09.11.09 and to when the resolution was offered yesterday, The time span is not bad,
A couple of days on a monitored board is pretty good,

If it hadn't of been for the regular people who reply to these threads then it would have been quite a short discussion, but as normal it turns into the same duplicate threads where no advice is really offered other than don't go with the company (usually too late in the OP`s case, which is why they are asking for help) And i assume just causes them more stress than help and the tedious quoting of people, usually in separate posts for each quote.

I thought this was supposed to be a help forum, But it seems to have turned into a, told you so and will continue to tell you so forum, whilst offering no real discernable assistance.

Sorry to butt in now but I think if you have received confirmation that the contract will be cancelled once the courier returns the item is fair.
    Hi Oneaday,
The problem is that the phone was cancelled the day before it was despatched for whatever reason (probably to try to continuue the order) mobiles.co.uk decided to carry on instead of pulling the order.
Whatever happens to that phone is of no concern to the OP .
Why on earth should delosfive be held liable for the phone untill it turns up ?????
It's not just about the money

You post defensively in mobiles.co.uk threads. Why? Do you have some connection?

And in what way do you see this post of yours as an example of you offering help to a poster who was trying to get money wrongly taken from her account by the (supposedly fairest online retailer) mobiles.co.uk:

    (Your post is #7):

  • I would never deal with mobiles.co.uk again.I ordered a mobile with orange through them, coming by DhL,2 weeks later and after lots of phone calls still hadnt come, but had paid £21.69 TO Orange for a phone i didnt have.Cancelled the phone, ordered another from a different place, then unbeleivabley the next week the mobile from mobs.co.uk came!I would have refused delivery but my husband not realising what it was signed for it.I sent it back to mobs.co.uk and have received a cheque for postage, but still await the £21.69 from Orange! And ive received another bill in the post from Orange, luckily ive cancelled the direct debit so they cant take anymore money from me.
  • Can I not offer an opinion contrary to other people without having a vested interest, No I have no connection to this company, and really was a quote needed.

You are correct of course I am offering no helpful advice much like the majority of posts on this thread, But after reading through the posts, the very few that where helpful could have been on one page and the rest where from people either wanting to vent previous anger or like my own, No real use, But it gets very tedious just reading the same vitriol when ever anyone posts about this company.

I will of course not add to the thread further and take the thread in a different direction and impede the OP`s resolution

"Resolutions" have been offered to numerous people finding their way onto here - achieving it is rather less common. I see no post where any resolution in this instance has been achieved. Of course, the rep would like people to believe him - even though there is very little evidence on any of these threads as to why anyone should and volumes of why they should not!

Cancelling the direct debit is a big mistake. No matter how despicable Mobiles.co.uk are, you have a contract with orange and until that issue is resolved with them (Mobiles.co.uk will wash their hands of it as usual) you could end up with a severely blemished credit record which will affect you for years to come. I do sympathise, but I'd check with Orange immediately and correct this if they won't help.
